Thank you for sharing these! I didn't get to take many pictures and I'm going to save a lot of these for posterity's sake. This was my first GD and I had a blast!

BTW -- I think you took pictures of every 40K vehicle in the cabinet except mine :p Maybe next year! :)

sorry about that. I was not done with my second entry and go there really late so I had to rush through the pictures so I did miss some because I wanted to look around the rest of gamesday. We will have to get your pictures next year.

I have be camping for the last week with no computer access. So here is some new updates.

I found some additional coverage on the masterminis site http://masterminis.blogspot.com/

I had a great time and met some great new painters like (Nadja) from Russia, Spanish Team Member Octavia Fernandez, Ben "White Rabbit" Komets and Michael Bartels "Zaphod Beeblebrox" and Marike Reimer.

Ben had brought a sample of their new DVD tutorial set by Ben "White Rabbit" Komets and Rafael "Volomir" García Marín and it is fantastic. I couldn't buy his sample so I ordered one because it is just that cool. Go to their website and have a look.

Congrats to all the winners and my friends, Aaron Lovejoy "olliekickflip" , Caleb Wissenbak, Dave Taylor (check out his blog for some awesome stuff http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com/ , Will Hahn, Kent Plumb, and many more.

We have seen awesome entries from US-painters who most of us Europeans have never heard of. Aaron Lovejoy.[/B]

Hey Brice,

thanks for your many pictures and also for linking up our blog here!

Part 3 of our extensive report will follow later today. We also have planned some Artist Spotlights (Aaron Lovejoy, Randall Sizemore, "Nadja" (HopeRiver), Ben Komets and last, but not least, Tom Ales) leading up to Games Day Germany next Sunday.
We will of course have a massive report ready from GD Germany - which, after cancellation of France and Spain will probably be the toughest competition ever.

Also, if you are interested in this kind of thing, we currently also have a massive Giveaway on our blog, called the Stack'o'Swag sweepstakes - also leading up to GD Germany.

Cocanour: Aaron Loveyjoy (Olliekickflip) used to be active on Coolminiornot, so a lot of veterans will have 'heard' of him.
Good to see he's still painting quality works.

I'm not gonna say anything controversial (maybe lol) about the US demon judging except I thought some of the choices and snubs were very odd.... but on another note holy friggin geez - just look at Roman's dio from GD Germany - I was blown away by the epicness and the boundaries pushed by that whole scene. Incredible!!!!!! Inspires me to paint again after not touching a brush really in a few years... unlike a drab grey wonky looking rock monster (no offense to Tom, it looks like it's painted well)... just sayin'

Yes Roman just raised the bar for everyone. I am totally inspired also even though I have to figure out how to even get to that level.

But of course there always has to be controversy for judging. I would have picked something else personally for several catigories but we don't know what the judges were seeing under better lights etc. I'll tell you, every time Caleb and I judge the contests for our local store Heroes Games and Hobbies we get the same thing. Oh, that mini should not have won. As I remember there was some controversy about your sword (because there always has to be), but in my opinion I think your win is well deserved! I heard that someone booed Roman's win.

I would like to see some more pictures of the sword winning entry. it was not high on my list for the top so I didn't really get good pictures of it. I did look at the rock tones and they were really good as well as the banner was super cool.

Still I had a blast and I hope to see you next year now because I know you have some awesome stuff that is almost finished. :)
