THose who think Microsoft is the original Evil have not heard of Games Workshop!
The greedy Goblins at GW are once again screwing their patrons by raising already rediculous prices to the height of lunacy! Effective July 6th Games Workshop is asking the public to bend over and take another price hike. Here is a link to the details. Long story short every $30 box set gets raised by $5. I may not be able to make a difference, but I am boycotting all GW products (Reaper Paints are better anyway ). Please speak out and express yourself as you see fit.

This topic comes up about every six months on every miniature forum imaginable. Their responsibility is to their shareholders, not their customers. If they think it makes business sense, more power to \'em. If it\'s too expensive, don\'t buy it.

Yeah this is nothing new, they have done this for years and years and years. I don\'t buy their crap... err stuff anymore, so I don\'t really give a rats ass. If I do find that there is a mini that I want from them then I will look on ebay for it, or go to my friendly local game store.

Yes- its insane how much of a markup the GW retail stores have compared to LGS or online ones sometimes.
Me. I like the classic stuff, so ebay is my usual choice. Save a fortune that way, or hell, save more and paint the lead you got.lol

I am only 17 and I remember when boxed sets were $20 (I think...), and now they are about to be $35. That makes me sound like my grandparents, \"I remember back when I was a kid, cokes were a nickle!\"

I normally don\'t buy much GW to begin with (actually I don\'t buy any ... I\'m odd that way) but I recently purchased a few GW warhammer skaven because I have always been a Lankhmar fan and I like Rats and Wererats. Gosh were those little buggers expensive!

I will probably continue to not buy GW in the future ... although I\'m still looking for good inexpensive medium creature sized weapon wielding rats.

Apparently while we tend to \"hate\" GW in posts an in comics I tend to see a whole lot of them posted on CMON. Supply and demand ... apparently there still is plenty of demand, so the price will be high.

Their shares are taking a dive. Seems that the only way they have of stabilising profits is to whack their prices up. 50% raises in 5 to 6 years are certainly non-sustainable. They\'ll get found out soon enough.....

Not before their chief exec has filled his boots though.

There\'s lots of minis that are both better and cheaper to collect!

I would have to agree it seems like every third image that pops up is of a damn Space Marine or some other GW mini.

GW are the only reason I continue to buy the \'Financial Times\'. Still much cheaper than White Dwarf\'.....:flip:
