Okay lizcam. You got yourself a fight. Name the time and place. Just kidding. Matt Sterbenz and I were joking around the other night about making up a Team Arizona. We would be the only members that I know of lol. I am going mainly to see all the beautiful miniatures myself. I am going to enter some things but dont really plan on getting to far with them. You guys dont mind if my wife and I join you guys at Hooters do you?

What chance would we have to get those girls back to the rooms if we don\'t .
Actually, being a married guy, I\'ll do my best to help you guys get some play but, I reserve the right to pretend I don\'t know you guys if ya cant handle yerself while drinkin.
Maybe the guys outta Vegas will bring some herbal refreshments Earl Gray, Green tea, Chamomile.

Not entering this year as I don\'t feel qualified. Don\'t play any GW games so don\'t know the fluff or rules. Next year. But I will bring along the mini I\'m doing for the Total Testosterone contest @ Wyrd and the 1/2 ork I did and anything else I manage to get done between now and then so you can see how crappy I paint in person

I would be up for a little get together. We are definately doing Hooters the night before and maybe we can all meet up during the day at Games Day. We could have the first annual GD Painters Pow Wow. I would love to trade techniques. My goal is to talk to everyone and learn something new this year! It would be neat to bring some models to work on. Maybe spend an hour or two with everyone not only telling how they do something but showing. (for me it is easier to learn when I see it happening right in front of me).
Any ways, I\'d love to check out your models lizcam. I also want to see antnols Lucious Eternal model. I really like that one!

Lizcam....go pick yourself up a Lord of the Rings model and enter that. You have one month to paint it. The best way to judge where you are at is to see your model sitting next to the other ones in the case. I think it would be really good for your developement as a painter. It will be easy for you to spot the areas of improvement you need to make.

Well i just picked up my tickets yesterday so there is no turning back now. Hey Ollie I will bring Lucius so you can get a closer look at him. I would love to trade techniques with anyone willing. Well, looks like I\'ll definitely be there now (just bought tickets). I actually managed to find some time and get myself back painting a little bit the last few weeks, so I should even have a few entries as well.
I\'m about 50-50 on making Hooters, since my girlfriend talked me into taking hwy 1 down the coast to make the trip more scenic, which means a lot longer drive time than shooting down 5. But I may show up late, but pretty much playing it by ear.
I definitely think everyone should enter, no matter how qualified they think they are. You learn so much my more by entering a piece or 2, then just sitting by on the sideline and being a spectator. Just do it! it doesn\'t hurt or anything and it may even make the day more fun, and you just never know what the judges may like that day.
One tradition I am going to keep up is the in-n-out burger for lunch (it\'s about 4-5 blocks away if I remember right), and of course everyone is invited along to that!

In-n-Out does sounds good for lunch. I\'m in for that! I will be helping my buddy with the set up of the convention so we will probably head over to Hooters around 5 or 6ish. Honestly I don\'t even know where it is...we were so lost when we finally found it last time.......on a side note. I say we have a mini speed painting contest at Hooters...after of course three of four beers. I wonder how that will turn out!ossessed:

If you plan on driving over there...don\'t plan on drinking and driving. No one is going to die the night before Games Day!

You\'re probably right but I have been spending so much time on this enrty of the Wyrd contest I haven\'t even thought about doing something for this. I have no idea what the rules are and what to do. Is there anything special I need to know about the LotR minis as far as basing or anything or can I pretty much do what I want?
