There are coming along well...I am taking the whole week off to just paint...that is my vacation this year. No kids, no work, just paint!

Just got back from GDLA...Here is the winners from what I can remember. Hopefully some people can help fill in the blanks.

All in all it was a pretty good showing quality wise...as for number of entries it was less than last year I think...

There were some serious dogfights in 40K single and LotR single. The best part was meeting a lot of folks that I have talked to on line but never in person. It was a lot of fun!

I stayed up till 6:30 am finishing my entry, went to sleep, slept through my alarm, woke up at 11:30 and realized I live 1 hour from Ontario and i\'d never make it so i stayed home and moped all day.

I just got home, and let me say that was probably the best turnout for demons I have ever been to. Lots of amazing entries!

Grats to everyone who made first cut, won a trophy, or just had fun! It was a great day.

I managed to snag 2 silvers and a bronze. (Silver in WHF single with Marco Columbo, Silver in LOTR group with the army of the dead, and bronze in LOTR single with pippin). Got an honorable mention with my librarian too.

And to all of you I got the chance to meet, it was a pleasure!

Team Arizona will see you all next year! This was just a taste of what is to come!!! *Sinister Laugh*

I had a lot of fun at GD this weekend. Congrats to everyone who won. I managed to take a silver home in Open Comp for my Penitant. The miniatures there were way better in person than I think they look on teh computer screen. Congrats again and thanks everyone.

Tim Holly AKA Severatus Picked up 2, gold in Single fantasy with my Dwarf Lord & Gold in the Open Catagory with my Spellsinger.

A lot of cool guys picked up various awards but my memory is Shaky on their names.

Sweeet minis, The Gold winner for Fantasy Reg - Goblin Squig Hoppers

The Gold winner for LOTR Group was sicko,
these riders were insanely cool, all converted & Perfect!

LOTR single was hard fought with a lot of nice minis with the most Expressive LOTR painted Pippen I have seen. Very original pick.

Who is DOUG the Slayer Winner with the Inquisitor 40K single entry?

Madness, that mini was more of the same super clean Marine, however it was a masterful paint job/concept/pose could not deny its perfection.

Anyone talk to the guy for more than a few minutes? I said nice paint on the Inquisitor and attributed a Single Fantasy entry as his Lorenzo Lupo ( very nice Roman SPQR & eagle on the shield )

Wonder where he came from, this way maybe I can avoid him next year.

Everyone was super cool at the show and seeing everyones work was worth the trip.

now tonight I think I will start my entries for next year.

He\'s been around the US Demon circuit for a few years with a lot of nice clean work. Go back and look at past Chicago winners or check Demonwinner:
