@aaron god dude, your blending is just flawless now days! i gotta come take some lessons from you or something. Hopefully i will get a weekend here some time when i can come down to san diego an paint with you and club.

Your gonna let me know when there is another one of those painting classes like the one you went to right? cause it sounds like it was really beneficial.

Anyways, How about that show huh? that was pretty fun games day, even if we were on the ass end of the circut and all the staff were worn out. I got to talk to allot of cool people, and see some exceptional painting.

I cant wait to see all the pics, especialy of some of the stuff that was there but did not place. Like EricJ\'s friggin subtle smooth and spectacular pirate ogre, which i have no doubt will be a big hit on CMON. The culprit responsible for his not placing? I feel anyone who attended will know exactly what i meen when i say the \"the lighting\" WOW was it bad.

Anyways, good job everybody who entred, and even those who didnt get to finish in time (that blows brice, that model looked great)

The Tank is the best...... The Mage ist very, very nice, though the OSL has some problems... but well... the Mini is Great...... I love this model, your paintjob is doing it justice......

Yeah, I took some artistic license on the osl...it just made it look more interesting. It was definately a good time this year...and yes the lighting sucked again. Of course that is always the problem, thats why I painted half my stuff under a regular kitchen lamp. I figured if it looked good in that light, it would look good in the convention center light! Of course I then turned on my good painting lights and smoothed everything out

Adam, just yell when you can come down to SD. That would be fun...I can pick your brain too.

The Vindicator was my favorite entry...I put my heart and soul into that one.

Also, I thought that Pirate Ogre was Torin\'s from Colorado.

yeah, I thought the tank would place and even take gold, and is one of the few judging decisions I disagreed with at the show, it looks great.

Tagron, awesome stuff with that termi, kudos on sculpting one, (it was right?) I know precisely how much work is involved in making one of those! Would you have the guts to post pics on a white background where we can see teh paintjob better? Black is great for ambiance and feel, but I\'d love to see the details in a clearer light.

Olliekickflip I love teh base for your wizard, what are those plants made of?? And the IW vindy, best tank I\'ve seen in a long time, it\'s gorgeous (though not as clean and precise, perhaps the judged was looking for that??) My favorite of the bunch of pics I\'ve seen so far

Crongrats to all the cmons that placed it was a lot of fun haning out with you. I was really tired since I had only slept 4 hours total the 2 days before the event. More fun to come next year.

Yeah i have one pic on a white background on the thread under discuss submissions. But you echoed a thought that ive been hearing allot, so im going to take another set on white and do another CMON entry with white back drop and see how it fares. I always have such a hard time deciding how to present a model in photos.

@Vincent: The grass was from Michaels craft store. It is some sort of moss. I will get the exact name tonight. It is made for putting in potted flower arangements. I think they dye it green so I just painted it. My buddy put it on the bases of his Raven Wing army and it looked fantastic. One bag will last you and all your friends a very long time. Its good stuff!
