funny this should come up really as we are running a gamezone comp over at wamp soon and we are having issues with buying them, cost a small fortune in shipping to get them direct and the prices on ebay are silly money

Quite a few people were selling them at Salute last year, amongst them was Artemis Black, can\'t remember the web address for them off the top of my head but they also had a supply of Resina Planet stuff, they mail order so its worth a try, they are in Wales so UK shipping :D if they still stock the Gamezone stuff.

What I was trying to ask before was, why does a Spanish company, Gamezone, have a duplicate German website, (which on all accounts works better than the Spanish one they used to have but is now under construction)?
I ordered and had problems with the Spanish site. Everything was eventually sorted out , it just took a long time and a lot of patience.
Iguess I could try using the German one next time, but it seems daft as I\'m based in Spain.

They might be seeing to that as it appears they have decided that it\'s time to update their site, deeply lol

I wondered this too, great information. I bought some west wind miniatures (dwarf wars) and they were poorly casted to say the least. Missing eyeballs, seams all the way around, pitted surfaces and in some cases totally disproportionate. Cleaned/ putty\'d and painted they look fine, but I believe i spent more time in prep than anything so far. I really don\'t desire to repeat this experience. Anyone had experience with these models and the gamezone mini\'s. Is it a comparable thing?

West wind have always been a bit hit and miss, I always buy my West Wind minis from shows that way you can look through the packs and pick the ones that have least defects. I recently did this at Hammerhead with some Lucifer\'s Wars minis.

we also have a westwind comp coming up, boy it sounds like an advertising thread!! anyway i have not had any problems with westwind stuff, though i\'ve been limited to the vampire wars range

I haven\'t read the thread so I have no idea if this has been said or not. I LOVE the sculpts but they are hopelessly impossible to fit together without re-sculpting bits along the seams. I\'m not sure what they do to the greens but they sure don\'t plan the breaks well. :(

If Gamezone is a German company it is pretty awkward that their quality is so poor. German companies are known around the world for their ability to make top quality products.

Even though they may be poor casts I still want to buy the black orc with the huge hooked sword. I like that one.

Yeah, I can only re-iterate what\'s already been said. Lovely sculpts ... lots of beautiful movement in them. Assembly sucks ... if you don\'t own putty and have moderate skills with it, you should not buy Gamezone minis, but if you can overcome that hurdle, I think you will enjoy building some of the nicest minis out there.

I think it is a mini by min thing on the fit.
I got a bunch of the chaos hounds (beautiful models by the way) and they went together easily with little if any gap.
Like I said, I think it depends on the particular sculpt.

I\'m currently working on a commission of the Leonora Vampire figure.
I have to say that there is a marked difference between the GW female vampire and this one, specificaly the Gamezone has a much better sculpt.
Although I must confess that the amount of detail on her looks daunting until you start to paint her. And man the sculptor knows and appreciates female anatomy.

i have the one-piece wood elf wardancer w/spear, and he went together like a dreamlol...

the black orc, on the other hand, has some of the biggest gaps i\'ve ever had on such a small piece...
he looks the business though, and i wouldn\'t discourage anyone who wanted to get their hands on this guy...

cheers

I\'ve got several of them so far, the Warrior Priest and the Empire General which I mail ordered from Artemis Blacks and the Dark Elf Pegasus and all 5 of the Mournful Knights which I picked up from Arty at Salute. I haven\'t had a single problem with any of them. All 8 fit together with little to no filling needed. I\'d certainly go as far as saying the fit is better than some of the minis from GW.

My only issue is that the sheer level of detail on these things can make it very difficult to see where the mould lines are. You also have to be extemely careful when cleaning them up.

I like the models, but I can\'t believe how poor my models have been for fitting etc. It\'s seems odd that many of us have the same model with widely differing experiences. My version of the mounted Warrior priest was a joke. HUGE gaps. Massive fit problems!

 besides the gaps what is with the clear bases and no way to mount the horses other then pinning

i got two for the contest venerable thamaurtage - gaps were minimal and a predator - bigger gaps but like someone said - no worse than GW.
the bases are naff though but man, they sculpt the underneath of the hooves that you would never see!
