gargoyle any one?

any one have ideas for painting a gargoyle? id like to break from the standard greys also he\'s holding a rock so yeh... im thinking mayb reds or something? kinna like a demon of khorn? also any one have a tutorial on horns like on beastmen? Trevor im looking at you! lol

Well... assuming you still want it to look some what like a gargoyle, you could try painting it as usual, using greys and maybe some brown tones. But once you get finish try using red inks (maybe just water down red paint to avoid shinyness unless thats what you want) and glazes to tone the mini. I\'m not sure how well it would work. I\'ve never tried it myself, and I haven\'t seen it done, but I would guess some one has tried it... You don\'t need to use red either, I just picked it because you already mentioned red... Hope that helped in some way.

Why dont you do both. On Halloween or something they are supposed to come to life so paint it as if its half way from stone to the red color. Another idea would be a blue black (very dark and sharp highlights)

dont you paint some beastmen? the horns are similar so i was woundering how you paint them...

Well, if you don\'t want to do the standard \'grey\' for a gargoyle, why don\'t you paint him as if he\' were marble? Or hematite?
