Hi ppl,

After a few years of lurking around the forums its time for me to contribute to this great site. I will start with some random projects thats been laying around in a half-finished state.

Comments are most welcome.

This is the "Shipwrecked" mini diorama. I had the goblin pirate from Rackham for quite some time without knowing what to do with him since i used his "wheelchair"box in another diorama. And I just thought that it would be nice to put him in a barrel. I like the feeling of his ship being blasted to pieces far out to sea and the goblin captain trying to make his way back to shore sitting in a bucket :)

The plan is to fill it up with resin/water effect and add debris from the ship to it.. the problem is that the water effect takes foreveeeeeeeeeeeer to cure so this is gonna take a while.. :)

Fun idea, and nice and vibrant colours.

My only critique is that the bucket doesn't really come across as being a bucket to me, if that makes any sense. I'm not sure why exactly, maybe because of the rims on it (is that the top of a paint-bottle?), or maybe just because I've never seen a bucket before that's big enough to fit a goblin :p
You also mention it being a barrel, but when I think of: Ship --> Pirates --> Barrel, I get a picture like this in my head: http://www.winebarrel.com/images/barrel.gif
Also, I'd consider tilting the barrel slightly to indicate it rocking back and forth due to the waves.

...wow, never knew I could nit-pick this much about a barrel :p Hope it's helpful!

Oh, also! Welcome to the forums! :)

Yeah I think you are right about the barrel/bucket thing (and yes its an vallejo bottle lid turned upside down)

The plan is to cover most of it with water effect so the only thing you will see is the rim. I will also try do waves at the surface but at this speed I will be done with it in december so be patient... :)

And here is the almost finished base for the warpig. I intentionaly did a bleak dusty looking base using the airbrush.

And also I got sick of never finding the right paintpot... so i built this :). I was thinking of doing it twice as big to fit all the pots in there put I think this is a good compromise.. (The girlfriend didnt like the prospect of having a 1 square meter paintpotstorage sitting on the table...I cant imagine why...)

Great projects! Proper skin tones seem to suit ork (I mean pig) figures as well :)
That is wasteful use of wood, those holes could have been much closer together lol!

Ok so finally the Warpig is done. I will put up some more/better pictures soon in the galleries but i need to get a better camera as well as some skills to use it.. :)

now its time to move on to the next project (no resting here :) ). When I first saw the new Griff Oberwald modell for bloodbowl I knew I just had to do something cool with it. I really like the movement and the dynamic pose of this guy. The plan is to do a charging knight on foot and i really would appreciate some feedback here. This is what he looks like at the moment (Of course hes not glued together yet so you have to ignore the blu-tac).

At first i thought about arming him with a sword like this:

but then I thought that maybe a spear would suit the pose better. Like this (beastman arm not included :) ) :

What do you guys think? sword or spear?

The warpig really looks great! Awesome base and very good paint job.

I'd vote for the sword, mainly because that makes him look like a knight, rather than a glorified spearman. :) Cool idea to use the model like that (usually Fantasy models are converted for use in blood bowl, not vice versa ;))
