Mathieu F\'s facebook (Akaranseth) status says he won gold in 40k monster! Not sure about any other categories though, I wasn\'t there lol

I heard it was a good showing this year - pity I couldn\'t make it there myself.

What a great showing it was! Many, many great entries in lots of categories. This was definitely one of the toughest comps in the US for a few years, as shown by the length of time the judges deliberated in their new curtained area.

Congrats not only to the winners on the day, but to everyone who entered and made it such a great showing of miniature painting talent.

PS. I know that Dylan and Bennett both won at least one trophy (both in 40K Single).

Wow!!! That was an awesome event! I would like to post my pictures but I lost my camera! I am prety sure I left it at the demon lounge. If anyone has seen it please let me know.

Oh man that really sucks Todd, I hope someone found it! It was great to meet you this year~~ you were totally right, I woulda been up all night, but I finally ran out of steam and literally passed out, was only runnin on two hours of sleep... lol
Bennett got a silver in 40K single for his commissar, and Dylan bronze for his suicide squig. Lilliana took gold in that category. Kyle Morgan had some amazing entries, the Wappels had some great stuff, Mattheiu had a FW Demon prince that took gold... it was a brawl this year, but it was so great to meet and chat with so many great painters. I predict next year to be even more competitive! Looking forward to it already :)

great to meet you elly. i still say you and i should have won a conjoined slayer sword but oh well. now that would have been hot. lol...

yeah i still want to know which one of hsi got him the slayer sword. i say it was the diorama. that thing made me want to vomit, because i shouldnt have been within range of its awesomeness.

Ok I took a bunch of pictures, and some of the pictures are not very good but there are some good ones too. I didn\'t bring my computer to verify if I had my settings correct on my camers. I kept all the pictures of the entire cases even though they are blurry so you can get an idea of the winner groups. They did not place them in first second third etc this year they just put the winners in the front row and the honorable mentions in the back. Then they announced the winners when they gave the trophies out, they wanted it to be a suprise. The cases seemed to be more scratched than normal so that added to the joy of trying to get pictures, not to mention the lighting. They also did judging behind a curtain sort of like the wizard of OZ. Ignor the judges behind the curtain.

There were a lot more pics so sorry if I missed you mini I just deleted all the bad pics.

Uber, you do realize that you where the ONLY one in hundreds (okies tens) of folks wearing Transformers T-shirts that was wearing a Decepicon one.
