Hi all, I have arrived back in Australia, and have finally got onto a computer.
Thank you all for your nice words about my entries.

A funny story with my Diorama, is that, I felt it would have been too spiky to take in my Carry-On Luggage, so I checked it in my suitcase... and once I arrived in the US, to my horror, the lictor had snapped in half! So I figured that Games Day, being Games day, there would be facilities everywhere to fix it up. Ok, so once I made it to GD, there was not a pin vice to be found! so after about 45 minutes of asking around being back and forward to all the staff, I managed to come across Dave Taylor who was the ONLY one in all of the GD to have a Pin Vice. (So Dave, I cannot thank you enough for letting me borrow your tools to fix up my dio) Anyways, so I fixed up the lictor, added a bit of fresh paint and then entered it, and to my suprise, it won Gold.

Which was so great, after a stressful morning.
So, I just had a look at my Diorama back here at home.... and now the lictor\'s legs and torso are broken again....

hehehe, I am used to fixing it now...
I feel really lucky to have snagged that many awards... :bouncy: I was really impressed with the standard of the competition. there were such amazing entries this year. A few that standed out to me was Chris Borer\'s Goblins, Mathieu\'s Khorne DP. I really love the base, blood water looked so great. I am unsure on who did the Death Guard unit, but I was throughly impressed with them. For me, Jeff\'s Gold Vehicle winner was outstanding, my pick for the Slayer. the Hyper-Detailing and weathering was just so great, I enjoyed it even more, because I have no idea how to paint vehicles, its just so foreign to me painting armour. And Ofcourse Dave T\'s Diorama, amazing!! Ok, so maybe the Painting Technique was not of my standard, but for me, a diroama is about the story, and Dave\'s Dio had such an amazing story! It was so very dynmaic and told a story from every angle. Personally I would have given it Gold!
And, ofcourse, Congrats to all the winners!!! especially to Jeff for winning the Slayer, like some else said. I just completly overlooked it for the Slayer, just this tiny little Elf, on no Display base or anything, I never really had a good look. But after the Awards Ceremony, I made sure to have a good look. Congrats Mate, a well deserved win!
well..... I guess its now onto my UK GD entries! I will probably see some of the same peeps there. :duh:
