GD Duel category question

The rules state:
\'This category comprises of two single models mounted on a single 40mm or 50mm Slottabase.\'

Are you allowed to have any part of the minis overhang the perimiter of the base? I have an idea that i want to do but i need a little more space. the floor space of 50mm is fine but i would need part of a model to jut out from the base. But this be allowed or would the judges throw it into the diorama category? Thank folks in advance.

I\'m no judge dude, but I assume you\'d be okay.

I\'ve seen ones that have the base as a starting point from which all sorts of weird and wonderful things stem.

As long as it\'s not taking the p*ss I think it should be fine...
but hey, \"Like flies to wanton boys are we to the Gods...\"

Yep should be fine

From what I can remember, quite a few of them jut out over the edge. Its often quite difficult to do a dynamic pose without doing this (if the models are large etc)

On the other hand, Jakob Nielsen\'s Knight Pather vs Araby horseman is a great example of what can be achieved in such a small space

On height, the winner from last year (Mark Tait IIRC) was quite a tall construction, so I think there is quite a lot of flexibility in tersm of what you cane do

I\'d like it if you could use a 60mm round rather than a 40mm round though

I had previously checked out past years winners and some of these \"hang over\"

And my entry for this category certainly extends past the base, so I hope I am ok, if not I will be the fat balding man crying in the corner. :)
