Anyone want to meet there?

I´m going to stay at a friends house in Hollywood. Iam from northern Europe (Sweden). Anyone want to meet there? Perhaps give me a ride to the competition? (There is a big chance I will get lost on my way to the comp.)

I will be there. I was planning on staying in a hotel close to the event. Let me know. Hollywood is at least an hour away. I have lots of projects going I will have at least one done. I would like to meet up with anyone that will be there. I usually play in the rouge trader tourney also, so I don\'t have to think about getting a GD or not.

Tagron and I were discussing a meeting over lunch. I\'m really only there for the Demon contest and to meet people so this makes sense. I don\'t know where to meet, but probably a good idea to figure that out in advance, lol

Alex, unfortunately I\'ll be coming from the other direction as I have friends out in the desert I\'ll likely stay with the night before. So I\'m not good for a ride, and I really don\'t know the area to give advise either, I\'m sorry to say.

if anyone else will be passing hollywood let me know, I would appreciate it immensely. I understand how you feel eric I travel across the world to enter the Golden Demon competition and would definetily like to share some techniques and advice.

Come on, people! The more the merrier!! i\'ll be there (of course), and i\'m hoping i can meet a lot of you guys out there, too! i know some of you have been out there in previous years (amypaintsminis for example...who my wife just loves, ragingaijin, and others). i wanna see some REALLY stunning work in the cases this year, and i know the best place to find it will be from you guys on here!!

Hmm...maybe if someone holds a BBQ for after the show... ;)

I\'m going, I\'m going! Although unfortunately it looks like only 4 entries instead of the 5 I had planned, unless I find a huge ammount of time and motivation in these last couple weeks!

Damn work gets me every time. I\'ll look forward to meeting you Monkeyboy, and also I sort of want to check out your camera setup ;)

As for a BBQ...I\'m not sure anyone lives all that close to the event, since it\'s sort of in the middle of nowhere, maybe we\'ll have to find a rib place and all hit it.

You\'ll be rightly unimpressed with the setup... trust me... lol

Yeah, it IS in the middle of nowhere, but there\'s In-N-Out Burgers across the street (we don\'t have those on the East Coast...:( ), and also a nice Indian place right there, too. Plus, i know where there\'s a really cheap pub! :D

And you will NEVER see my models, Eric...your painting expertise intimidates the HELL outta me!! i\'d hate for you to hurl on someone\'s shoes after looking at my models....

hmmm, lets see, Burgers for Lunch, then indian food followed by drinking afterwards!

I\'m really basically going down there just for the competition and to hang out with people, so socializing sounds like a good plan to me!

I\'m sure your camera set up is better than me, hell, you mentioned 14.something megapixels, that doesn\'t suck!

And don\'t worry about my painting, I\'ve never really competed in a live comp before, and actually never even looked at top quality minis in person, so I don\'t know if mine measure up. I know how to paint to trick the camera into looking good, I\'m not sure if that translates to tricking the eye. I gues we\'ll see in a couple weeks!

i think my description of photography was wrong. i shoulda said that the photos are 14.1 Megabytes in size, not Megapixels. Sorry about that. The camera is only a 5 MP digital camera. But, really, you only need around 3 MP to get a decent photo for print.

Dude...your painting is astounding... Trust me...you\'ll measure up...!

i\'m all in for the burgers, Indian, and drinking combo!! And the wifey\'ll love it, too!

oh cool!!! I didn\'t realize you were going to be there, this should be a good competition, if I had know I might have tried to get this last bigger project done, since I think it would have turned out to be my best. Maybe I\'ll have to work and save it for Baltimore ;)

Some day when we have both my witchhunters and your khorne armies done, we\'ll have to play just one game against each other, just to see all these minis in battle. :) Just give me about 3 more years, hah

Monkeyboy, ok, gotcha, I must have misread about the camera, but I\'ll still check it out, I\'m always looking for photography ideas. (photography was sort of my first artistic passion).

But now that we have a socializing plan, we\'ve got something to rally people around!
