GD Question

A question on categories, would a FW marauder bomber be classed as acceptable for the vehicle category (even though its huge) and by the same theory would a scratchbuilt vehicle (thats clearly a vehicle) be acceptable in the same category.

Or would they have to go in diorama or open.

I think there is a limit to the size of a base on the vehicle section that may mean a Marauder would have to go in the Open? I think there may be a base size limitation in the Open as well.

A scratch build in my opinion is ok in the vehicle section again base size related.

IIRC the base-size limit on Vehicle (as with all other categories except Open) is 300mm cubed (or a ft if you prefer).

Open is double that, so 600mm by 600mm by 600mm.

I think a scratch built vehicle over the 300mm cube size would almost certainly have to go in Open... the Marauder is a bit of a grey area I think.

This is on my VERY long list of questions to ask the GD judges at the winners day in April, though that won\'t help you now

I would imagine that the vehicle category would be somewhat limited to vehicles which can be used in a normal game of 40k and not ones which need your opponents permission like many of the FW ranges. However the apocalypse rules may have opened that up a bit.
