Hey Everyone,

I wanted to see what y\'all thought. I\'ve emailed John Shaffer as well to try to get an answer.

I\'m trying to create a base for one of my entries and I want to use some premolded plasticard. Now what I mean is that it\'s a sheet of plasticard with a stone pattern embossed in it. Do you think this would be allowable or would it disqualify the mini?

I\'ve used it for Years, even to the point of cutting the sections of card to fit the base so it can be removed and yet appear seamless in the display, not been disqualified.
Not won anything, either though.

Should be fine. I think they\'re more concerned about stuff like using a sword from a Rackham mini or whatever. I think a 40k mini got dq\'ed recently for using some military tank chassis bits as well.

Basing materials aren\'t likely to cause too much trouble, especially something like plasticard. Pre-moulded resin bases might be a different story...

But honestly after talking to judges over the years bases are a tiny part of the judging process. You rarely get any bonus points for the bases, but you\'ll surely lose points if they are done to a lower standard than the rest of the mini.

Simple but well executed seems to be the safer bet.

Hey Meg - like everyone else stated, it shouldn\'t be a problem. I\'ve used basing materials that were non GW in the past (actually had some phone calls with them to make sure it was OK).

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I just wanted to make sure before I really got going on the base. The mini is converted . . . now time to add the atmosphere!

I use Rackham Fortress Plaster on nearly all my Entries an keep winning Daemons all over the world... so I guess it´s okay...^_^...
