a real pity that some people and some actitudes.. shows that some people are bad loosers.. when someone defeats ypou because he is better .. an ellegant person should recognize it, and try to improve himself instead insult and offend other people only cause they are foreigners.. a real shame..

the mini is amazing.. for sure it could win in every golden demon all over the world.. for me is one of teh best ive seen in a lot of time.. incredible piece and albert is 19 years old... it means a lot.

There does seem to be a vocal group complaining that the Spanish have come in and stolen the trophies that are supposed to be for the UK. Same old rubbish that arises every year.

The country of a GD is just a location to hold it not an indicator of who is allowed to enter. For my money it\'d be a sad day where foreign entrants would not be allowed.

And a lovely fig by the way. I\'m impressed :)

Well done Albert.

it\'s the same old crowd that find any reason to complain why it was that someone they personaly know, didn\'t win.

the foreigners line is the one usualy dragged out. example, it\'s our gd, don\'t they have there own. (pathetic realy)

i don\'t mind losing to a better model. the sculpting on this one is unbelievable.

and it was funny to see the spanish team dancing with excitement.

well done guys. :)

(time for me to learn how to sculpt)

edit, damn my slow typing.

I dunno you come over here and steal our awards! Taker our women instead!!! :p
I can\'t understandf the mentality that dictates that only uk entrants should win UK GD! Albert was the best man on the day and a well deserved win too!
If anyone wants to win that sword, then push yourself to better your painting and go for it. Don\'t just expend your efforts on moaning about it! If I had tried and lost to Albert he\'d get more respect for it..the boy did good! Leave him be :)

awesome entry, anyone who has a problem with it winning obviously is letting jealousy cloud their reaction.

Great work Albert!

A kick-ass miniature and probably one of the best minis I\'ve ever seen! Thus, clearly a deserving winner! Congratulations, Albert!! :flip:

I particularly like the little bird on the base. :)

How dare you come to our country and be better than us!
Why don\'t you stay away so we can be mediocre and win?!

Thats the attitude that will keep lifting the bar.

lol

Congrats to Albert on his piece, I even had the privlage of holding it and looking at it close. It was flawless. As for the Spanish team coming and taking home awards, more power to them for doing so and I hope to see them back next year to win even more. Better yet come to America and compete.. we will welcome you.

If they are mad about the Spanish..I took home a gold to America HA HA!!

Personally I think it\'s awesome that the UK demons have truly become THE premier painting comp in the whole World, and I only have to go a couple of hours down the road to attend them :)

I\'d also agree that that ork was a VERY worthy winner of the sword.

I would however personally like to see a UK competition to allow people to compete with their fellow countrymen, however I\'d want that to be seperate to the Golden Demon comp really.... it must be said that here in the UK the only options open to you are to be one of the best in the World (to win anything at the UK GD against all the International painters) or the best in a small region ( to win at a conflict painting comp).... it\'d be nice to have something inbetween that lets you compete nationally.... believe me, it\'s a big step from a Conflict comp to the UK GD\'s! :)

The only complaint I\'d have with the Spanish team would be not adhering to rules on joint entries, but I think we can chalk that up to a translation issue for one year at least :)

Yep. Awesome work! I\'ll wait until it is posted here for a longer comment. But this is one of my favourite miniatures yet.

Matt Cexwish is Polish. I\'m not sure who his friend was.. didn\'t hear.

The only regret I have with the spanish team is that I didn\'t found out until afterwards that they stayed in the same hotel as I did!!

Next year.. next year...

Ah, apologies, someone said the two guys who did the joint entries were from the Spanish team, sorry!

And yeah, having now seen the photos I wish I\'d had the chance to see that orc in proper lighting :-(

Totally awesome stuff.
