GD UK - Painters Meal - Sat 26th Sept

Hi all


Ok, taking a cue from the Spanish team and the great \'painters banquet\' we attended last year at GD Spain, Platoon Britannica would like to invite all painters, UK and International, who are attending the UK demons on Sept 27th, to come along to a painters meet and meal the evening before the event.

The venue looks likely to be the \'Little Owl\' pub which is ON the NEC complex, next door to the Holiday Inn Express.

They have a good pub menu with lots of choice, plus a good selection of beers etc.

PLEASE: E-mail me or add your name to the list on the Platoon website (for those who are members) before coming along. We are group-booking the venue so we need to know numbers... if you turn up without letting us know you may not be able to get a table with us!

We\'ll be encouraging people to bring miniatures with them and there will undoubtedly be lots of painting chat all evening.

Start time is set for 7:00pm.

And seriously what could be better than an evening in my company.

I have a lovely evening before the GD visiting my parents, eating all their food and drinking their beer! Pleasant but not as much fun.

Ok.... no response to this so we\'re assuming this will just be a meet for the UK painters who have already signed up.

We\'ve confirmed numbers with the venue now but, if anyone still wants to come along, pm me and I\'ll see what I can do.


As an aside, we\'ll be having a painters meet at the Crowne Plaza hotel bar just a few minutes walk from the venue on the day of GD itself. We\'ll all be there from 12:30pm onwards.

it\'s actually gonna be the first GD I\'ve been to where I have a chance of a hangover..... generally like an elite athlete drink is banned for a fortnight up to the vent while work is done....
