Heres a WIP shot of my Space Wolf Dreadnought im taking to GD UK this year. Ive used the arms off the Blood Angels Dreadnought as they look like they make pretty mean up close and personal weapons that fit the Space Wolf image. I still have a lot to do on the gold parts of the model and I'm also conciderign putting some pack markings on it to signify the pack he used to belong to. Any comments are welcomed as always :D.

This is looking really nice mate, I am a big fan of the space wolves colour scheme - it's got yellow in it, so it's alright by me!!!!!

Cheers dfb. I'm thinking of doing the yellow and black pack marking on the left leg just to break up all of the grey and gold but im not sure yet. I also have a few wolf tail talismans and a wolf skull or 2 to add to it just to give him the wolfy feel. They do love those wolf tail blingamajigs :D

Well some kind of wolverine claw would have pretty neat as a weapon lol, not sure sideburns and cigar would fit in with the imagery mind. Obviously as my user name suggests, I am a big fan of werewolves and all things hairy and monstrous really.

I have 6 canine teeth think that qualifies me as part wolf and i approve.

Me and gold just dont get on so im going to keep an eye on how you do this.
Id say it does need the extra wolf details as tbh the model its self is quite bland atm painting and base are great so far though.

Yeah I totally agree with you stevey it is looking a bit bland. i have the wolf tails and skulls prepped and ready to go so they will be on later today and im gonna do that left leg with black and yellow dags. If you want the recipe for the gold stevey pop me a pm and I'll give you recipe for it.

Couple more WIP shots of yellow dags on leg and shoulder. The shoulder is still a bit untidy and is being cleaned up in the next hour then I'm adding the wolf tails and other bits and pieces. Not much of an update but an update none the less :D

That wee bit of extra colour on the gems and weapons instantly give it more depth. But I adore the shading on the grey & gold.

I used the alternate power fists of the furiose dreadnought kit as spacers as the arms just looked to close to the main body. The way I have always envisioned Space Wolf marines is having huge broad shoulders with or without armour (looking like proper norse warriors who have been benching pressing horses all day long) so I wanted that to reflect in the dread.

Bigger shot of whole dread. I didnt get quite near enough finished before GD but entered it anyways as it was near enough there but I didnt place. Note to self - be better prepared next time :D

Fantastic model. Golden daemon seems to me like more of a face fits competition. Did you see the greater nurgle demon? That thing was amazing should of won monster yet didnt even place. And im not the only one with that view.
