Albert, i\'m pretty sure it will, i saw them taking loads of kick ass photos of it, maybe you should email them, saying they are free to use it?

Yeah, all of the winners were photographed on the day and this year we had much better equipment to make sure the shots taken were good enough for White Dwarf.

Time was pushed on the day though and some miniatures were only shot from one or two angles at the most, so it will be much better if the winners are brought to Nottingham as well so that extra detail shots can be taken and interviews done. Don\'t stress if you can\'t make it though.

It will, last year, none of the french guys went to the studio visit, but the pics was in the GD booklet (booklet I didn\'t buy :D). they simply keep the pics made during the GD.

congrats to you Albert and to all the winners.

For those that haven\'t seen the figures yet here is a link to the new LOTR Kanddish and Easterlings :D

http://www.thelastalliance.com/index.php?pid=disparticle&catid=4&subid=24&artilceid=2278

I am not over keen on the Easterlings but those Kandish are really turbing my cogs :D especially the two chariots :D

Shame I have to wait until February for the release of them :(

Hi,
I had a great time at GD and I just finished uploading pictures of my entries to my site (follow link in signature).

I was happy that my kroot mercenaries did well and surprised that my reworked custode guard got a trophy.

I talked to a lot of cool people at GD. Conversations with Steve Buddle, Adrian Bay, Margo, Tammy, and a few brief words with Dragonreach in particular spring to mind. And meeting the French and Spanish team is always fun and inspireing.

Oh, btw. Talking about meeting great people at GD I never expressed how much I enjoyed discussing our hobby with Victor Hardy last year at GD UK. Victor is a great guy!

Best Regards,
JRN

I wonder how long until GW post pics of the winners? Seems like they\'re very slow this year, if they even bother

They\'ll probably never do it, and place them in a sumptuous 10 page booklet for a mere £10 thats not available until february next year..........

Well I\'ve started on my first entry for next year............

There is some pictures on the site but not credited to the prize winners and as you suspected there is a mention of the dredded book :D

I am not against the book but what I would like to see is each country that holds a Gamesday have a seperate section of the book and also maybe show some of the entries from each category that didn\'t make the top 3.

I know with GW this is probably hoping for to much though so I won\'t get my hopes up :D

My actual guess is that GW are preparing to do another \"fantasy miniatures\" book in addition to the GD winners. This is based purely on the fact that the GD winners letter inviting them up to Lenton also says to bring other non GD winning miniatures along.

Another (decently priced) book like that would be a good thing.

I always liked the Fantasy Miniatures books and I would be quite happy with one of those each year :) maybe more so than the GW catalogue which I here the latest is quite disapointing and not worht the money.

You are of course aware that most of the GD winners or first-cutters post their work on the net (and a lot on CMON). So why buy something that you can already see? Otherwise just wait for the CMON annual ;).

yeah.aware of that........but a book is always nice to have, especially when the computer is a flight of stars away from your modelling desk, and printer ink is so expensive! still can\'t beat a good book.

and of course, some winners, like Adrian Bay, have no PC. Or phone. or car!

Big turn out this year at around 8,500. Time seems to fly by when your at a Gamesday/Gold Demon event. I think everyone had a good time. All of the Gamesworkshop team are always very down to earth and easy going which makes them easy to speak to. I spoke to a couple of the big sculpters and they were very freindly and helpful when giving advice. huge venue, Not being aloud to bring drinks in was bad as they were selling them inside at around £1.50 a pop, so you can see were the NEC made there money. Lots of good entries this year which a lot didn\'t make it into the finals. time to start thinking about next years entries.
p.s. What about an English team going over to spain and getting a few of there Golden Demons, well they didn\'t get the sword.

:D
