You could always fill in two entry forms, then just ask at the hand in.
I did think of that but from experience the people at teh hand in are really that up on it, well thats the impression I have had in the past, by hand in I mean when you register at the door.

As I already have a 40K single figure entry entry I don\'t really want to block it with another as you are only allowed to enter a category once.

CATEGORY 1 - WARHAMMER 40,000 SINGLE MINIATURE

Any single human-sized Warhammer 40,000 miniature mounted on an appropriately sized gaming base. This category includes Terminators but other models supplied with 40mm and larger bases should be entered in the Warhammer 40,000 Monster category. Models on larger bases should be entered into another category. Note that bike-mounted character models must be entered in the Vehicle category. Single miniatures from Forge Worlds Imperial Armour may be entered in this category.

Well, from that I believe it means it would be 40k monster category.

EDIT: I think the one at the Chicago GD (which won bronze behing the slayer sword Fulgrim and Jeremie\'s Harlequin) was placed in 40k single as they didn\'t have a monster category and the rider is not quite a large model.

That is what I thought, I just wanted some clarification I was thinking on the right track.

As for the US/CCanadian Demons I think there rules are slightly different as well, not just that they don\'t have a moster category in 40K but also they allow staff to enter all categories.

Well, I\'ve just spent 20 minutes pulling little foam squares out of a mini case and put the few I have in it...

I also took the opportunity to have a 2nd round of purging my little collection and will be bringing them to GD if anyone wants some free minis. They are mostly old GW ones with a smattering of darkage and reaper.

One of the GW ones may be a fake though... it\'s really gleaming for an \"old\" one... I may take the chance to ask the folk who know... worrying though from a collecting point of view.

No idea what the weather will actually be like so I don\'t know if i\'ll br driving up or ridng.

Is there any marking on it such as the gw stamp on the tag and the name etc???

By old how old are you refering to?
I have mini\'s from the 80\'s that are still nice and shiny so and I know they are not fakes because I bought them at the time.

It says GW19<something> on the back and NAVIGATOR on the front... I\'ll have it with me anyway if you fancy a gander.

it\'s either 98 or 88. it\'s a 40K navigator mini

Sounds like it might be one of the Talsiman figures or one of the figures from the forces of the imperium in the 91 catalogue is he bald headed and holding a laspistol in his right hand?

In that case he is catalogue number 072518/23 and he is listed as Navigator.

The one I have to hand isn\'t gleaming but he isn\'t dull either. I would say given the stamp ect on his tab he is genuine so don\'t worry about that.

Cheers for the information Mr Griffon :)

I wasn\'t going to keep it one way or the other but it\'s nice to know I can be giving it to someone who wants it rather than binning it.

Not a problem, if you are bringing any more old ones with you I might be interested if there are one or two I don\'t have in my collection :D

What is the policy with photos... worth taking a camera???

I\'m taking a camera and tripod. Apparently might not be the best for a tripod, but il try anyway.

Ha Ha a tripod?

No chance.

You are lucky to even get up to the cabinets most of the time.
The best way to get a view would be either extremely bad body odour or a suit covered in 6 inch spikes....... umm body odour probably won\'t work actually.

You could always take pics of me.

:)
