I should be coming! Right now, I am intending to come to GD UK this year - and the ravage mix open in paris also :D Now I just need some entries, argh! hehe

Does anyone know the date for the ravage open yet...? And what about euro militaire - where and when is it! I want to come to as many things as possible while I\'m in europe. Hopefully I can meet some of you guys while I\'m there as well!

Euro is the same weekend as GD this year, 22-23 Sept. Dragon Forge Design did both last year if I recall.......Saturday euro, sunday GD.

The Ravage thing is 6/7 October.......

Neil

This is not a definate date, but Neil does have some pretty good contacts within the halls of GW

It\'s a 3ish hour drive between Euro and the GD I\'d guess. Longer on a train as you have to go across London

I did both last year as well, I drove down to Folkstone on the Saturday for Euro Militaire and then up to Birmingham for GD on the Sunday.

I am looking at doing the same again this year if my program allows but work may well throw the spanner in the works the way things are going at the moment.

Anybody have a link for more info on Ravage??? preferably in English please :D

It\'s not that bad just means an early start each day thats all.

I only stayed at Euro until about mid afternoon so was home again by 6ish roughly a 3 hour journey each way.

GD is deffinately the longer day or maybe that was because of the Saturday at Euro as well.

@automaton: you\'re going to have a hard time if you want to do GD and Euromilitaire. i\'d say at least 4hrs travelling time , maybe more. all the connections mean extended travelling time.

i may make euromilitaire this year (as i live in kent) but GD is out for me, i already have my demon and no longer can afford to go , or motivate myself to paint a mini for it.

Just had a look at the may issue of White Dwarf and they confirm that Sunday 23rd September is DEFINATLEY the date for Gamesday and more importantly the Golden Demons!!!!!

I\'m not sure, but it looks like I may get to work on the Golden Demon stand again this year, only as a volunteer, not a paid staff member.

It would be very cool to go and not have any sort of commitment to doing work on the day (even though it is fairly pleasant work!), but to be honest it\'s a pretty good deal. I\'d get a free trip there and back, avoid having to pay for a ticket and I should still be able to enter in any GD category, so I think that\'s what I\'ll be doing if I get properly asked.

Whatever the case, I plan on making an appearance at the event.

It\'s coming round all too fast isn\'t it...

Our little team from our local GW store are currently having meetings to thrash out who\'se entering which categories... out of five entries last year between us we got five pin badges and three minis on the final judging table... which wasn\'t bad at all.

This year we have four members instead of three (the fourth member was an \'employee\' last year so couldn\'t enter)... all being well we should have a minimum of two entries each... though I\'ve now personally settled on four entries to definitely finish if I can... one of which is about 25% painted (40K single), two of which are assembled and primered (WH single and 40K vehicle), and one of which is still to be bought and assembled (40K monster), but is a fairly coherent design already... just waiting on some custom brass etch to arrive, and a trip up to Nottingham next week to collect some final components and we should be away.

A very orky theme to my entries this year I think :)

I for one would very much like to better get to know some other CMON folks at the event if possible... I came along for the meet up and group photo in 06 but kinda felt everyone knew everyone else and I felt like a bit of a third wheel... I\'ll make a concerted effort to try and introduce myself and try and chat to people next time I think :)

Already having bad dreams about not finishing for the event... which is not a good sign with five months to go!

No I gave up on that thought. I did do the Ravage open mix one weekend and then GD the following weekend but this year they are 2 weeks apart so I dont know if I can swing it. Staying in the UK is just to expensive right now for that length of time. The dollar is just to week. A ok hotel in the UK will cost me upwards of $200.00 USD a night because of the poor exchange rate. So well have to see.

I\'m going almost definatley(all depends whether i get a ticket):D
I\'m only 30 mins away so i just get my dad to give me a lift in. Usually go with a mate we both really enjoy the modelling side of the hobby. Will have a stab at the Demons, hope to reach the cuts this years, i\'ve got a couple special things planned. it all depends whether i get the time to finish them. I don\'t have any time to paint at the moment and i\'m only 15!!!:(

Would love to meet a few of you guys i missed you last year as i wasn\'t that into the whole CMON thing but now i\'ve nearly 60 posts it\'s a definate!!:p
