Well I am back at home now and trying to rush about sorting myself out before a 3 hour drive to work
I managed two finalists out of 3 but as was alreadt mentioned there was a hell of a lot of excellent models that didn\'t make the cut but should have??? I think maybe GW are trying to cut down the number of finalists either that or they are trying to penny pinch again
Gold in the Diarama was Donga here on CMoN sorry mate can\'t remember your proper name but it was a very well deserved win
Some very nice new models due out over the next few months looking at the new stuff.

Good fun though and although the overall standard wasn\'t the strongest I\'ve ever seen the quality of the winners was up there as one of the best years ever.
I didn\'t get to chat to many folks, as it was kinda frantic, and there were loads of pretty minis to gaze at. Saw a few people briefly through the glass. I also gave back the Fulgrim to Demonherald, but didn\'t know whose it was at the time. Besides, John Blanche wanted to check out his model and who am I to stop that? I certainly had fun not letting Bill know he had won YB, that\'s for sure! lol No disrespect intended to the other entrants, but you were ahead by a long way chap.
I have to say that Mr Archer is scary good. I really got to have a detailed look at his entries under proper lights and it\'s terrifying how awesome they are. Smooth as silk, completely realistic, just amazing stuff.
Great that David got the Slayer Sword too, although I preferred his duel to be honest. That was my tip for the win. I think it\'s good that a completely vanilla model managed to win it in a field full of conversions and sculpts though. Really shows just how good a painter he is.
LoTR was once again a really strong category, and the standard of YB went up sooo much it\'s mental.
I will enter next year, I promise!

Yeah, looking at the photos I thought the \'fex wasn\'t converted. Just goes to show, you don\'t have to be a sculptor to win, just a crazily talented painter.

Great to see that in a time of scratchbuilds that a largely unconverted model has taken the pointy stick at GD (yes, it\'s converted, I could see drool added )
Congrats to all the winners and I am now going to spend the next few months being very annoying towards whatever health professionals I need to in order to get my health fixed. Because I don\'t want to miss another GD to meet up with you guys and gals...AND I WANT THAT FREAKIN\' SWORD!

I take it back, adding drool...bah, he may as well have scratch built it. lol
And on the health front, I know all too well how frsutating it is when they can\'t tell you what\'s wrong with you or how to fix it. Just try and be positive and don\'t overdo things. Leave some energy for your body to heal itself. I know you\'ve probably heard that so many times, so I apologise if you\'re annoyed at hearing it again.
