GENCON NEW YORK

I just saw that the February 24, New York Comic Con is going to be co sponsored by GenCon LLC. Does anyone know if there is going to be any miniature painting support or competition? Or if the other big mini companies are attending, ie Privateer Press, Reaper or Rackham?

Well since I work with the group who runs all the miniature painting related events (Paint and take, painting contest, classes) we don\'t have anything to do with it. This is the first Ive herd of it so Id probably say no.

As for retailers.. no idea either.

Keep in mind Gen Con LLC is an event organizer. Yes they run gen Con Indy and So Cal but they also do the Star Wars celebration. So they may be in it for their organizeing skills. It also looks like they may be helping organize some CCG tournaments. It might be their attempt at getting a large gaming convention on the east coast going.. running it alongside a major event like a comic con only makes sence.
