I have several horde armies on the go, and I LOATHE quickshade.... so I'm looking to get myself an airbrush setup for some speed painting/basecoating/first few layers as well as vehicles for the odd time I actually work on 40k armies. I need to know a few things before I continue
* I'm looking at the badger khrome or the badger patriot C105, are there any other options I should look at for mini painting? Preferably with a 0.5, 0.33, or 0.21 nozzle.
* Compressors.... how much should I spend on a compressor. Do I go balls to the wall with a high end hobby compressor or just get a quiet simple one. will it make a huge difference?
* Paints... there's Vallejo air and the badger model air lines which are simple to use... but I have problems thinning down GW paints for airbrush use. They either go too thin or clog up my old pasche brush I used ages ago. Does anyone have a "mix" or some special formula that will do the trick?
* what other accessories do I want to get? (moisture trap, sonic cleaner, etc etc)
Thanks!
