Getting to know you: Hobbies

1. Keeping a 3 half year old boy alive, entertained and educated (including cleaning up after said 3 half year old)

2. see .1.

3. Mowing the worlds biggets lawn with a push mower.

4. nagging my wife for the money to buy a \'self driven\' mower.

5. failing to get babysitters so I can maintain my relationship with my wife (see .1.2. & .4.).

6. Walking/Hiking, we do little walks now, we used to big ones. Boy\'s legs are too short for big ones, yet...

7. Not going to the cinema (see 5), used to lots! Watch DVD\'s now...

8. not dredging my way through the huge backlog of Military History books, the backlog is three and half years old

9. I used to Wargame....now I\'m waiting for my boy to be old enough to wargame

I just maintain the painting thing...(luckily I can do it at work :flip::bouncy: )

I\'m also really into rollerblading or as I like to call it wheelie shoe skate killing But with like grinds and stuff.

I enjoy my sculpting alot, so this is my main hobby. I like to holiday alot - normally abroad twice a year where I indulge in photography, i m not really much of a sun worshipper, I like to get out and see the country i m in. Used to be into martial arts ALOT - 15 years, started at 13 and finished at 30 when I dislocatd my shoulder. Got my first dan at 20 and should have got to third dan by the time i gave up but never really got into the grading thing, happy to just train. I also like to read non-fiction, history,mythology etc. Lots of interests really. Too many for one man in fact.

I spend a lot of time pretending I\'m looking for ideas for sewing but it\'s just another excuse for talking to people on line. I think that\'s really my hobby. Chatting on line. I\'ve said it before, I\'m pathetic!

Guitars and boats (and fishing from boats) are my main hobbies...

I love sailing and mucking about in boats of any sort. I recently bought a fast fishing boat and really (like Airhead) don\'t use it as often as I\'d like to due to work... I\'d go most days otherwise.

I luuurve guitars too and play daily, mainly to wind-down after work but also for fun.

I occassionally paint minis too (in fact, the colder months are here and my painting head has been activated )

I plays a bit of footie once a week, watch rugby where and when i can, drink ale, cook nearly everyday (I had some days off this week and 2 of those waking days were spent fannying about with stock and demi. Braziliant!), mountain bike (though I tend towards distance rather than danger), reading..................

in my experience, if you are on a bike, danger is following, regardless of the distance!

Hurrr, i like music!

And reading, philosophy books mainly. And i have a keen interest in sillyness... Done some movies about those silly little things, hehe.

I also like writing stuff. Movie scripts and such, hopefully me and my buds will keep our interest going and do more sillyness!

Basically my life is filled with sillyness!

Other stuff i do are mainly science related issues (physics, biology, evolutionary psychology etc ad infinitum). The whole atheist debate is really a big hobby of mine. Paleontology used to be a big hobby, but then i found out people didnt believe in those sorts of things, hence the atheist interest.

And then theres those general hobbies: Movies (mostly sci fi, horror and fantasy) couchpotatoing, doing nothing, live in oblivion... Everything that requires nothing is basically my hobbies.

My hobbies are gettin\' drunk and singin\' stuff. Singin\' awesomely too! Or so I tell myself.

I got two kids and the job and I make sure I paint at LEAST one hour every day (Barring hang overs. Can\'t paint while hung over at all.) I get one day off during the week so I usually get an 8-9 hour period to paint at least once a week. I used to love it, but doing commissions has really turned that into something I enjoy, but much less. I really gotta space my projects out more.

and stop getting him into bad habits, everyone knows that men should never be naked except for socks, makes us look creepy (although maybe not as bad as only shirt and socks!)

I\'m another man-of-a-million hobbies.

1. Obviously Modeling, Converting, painting Minis.
2. Playing Drums
3. Playing the Guitar
4. Auto Restoration (mostly Paint and Body work.)
6. Camping/Hiking/Fishing/Hunting
7. Riding ATV\'s
8. Riding Motorcycles -HD -Sportster-

I consider my career (graphic Arts/Web Dev) to be a little bit of a hobby as well since i do it on a contract basis as well, and what with the continued education requirements to stay current.. I do enjoy it for the most part. And would probably do it as a hobby if it wasn\'t a career.

10. Skateboarding ...not as much, it starting to hurt worse when i wreck.. LOL
11. Mountain Biking - kinda replacing skateboarding to be honest..
12. I dabble in wood working, oil painting, electronics, beadwork, hemp tying, leatherwork...
13. also.. I\'ve recently discovered a love for firearms, not sure if that qualifies as a hobby tho. ??

I don\'t know if I can count it... but I take any opportunity to travel whenever the destination stands out to try and make it happen. There are other things, but I have to get back to an assignment and am nott fast enough to fit more words in before my imaginary time runs dry :drunk:
