Ghaffasa\'s WIP

Hi, since i\'m posting a lot of wip stuff all the time, i thought it would be good for me to start an own thread.

This is the same terminator i posted in the WIP V thread some days ago. The legs are almost finished now. I\'m looking for an effect similar to Bobby Wong\'s emperor\'s champion.

These are two shields i\'ve been trying freehand on. On the first one i tried to paint a banshee with a hungy appearance

Here i decided not to use any other colours than rotting flesh and chaos black.

All feedback appreciated! :drunk:

Looking good, like the second freehand.
The blue looks a bit dull, I think it might because of to much white in the final highlights, you could try and saturate it a bit by adding some other color, yellow is a pretty good bet usually (just a tiny though ;))

I think the blue looks great...the blending is very smooth.

Of the two freehands, the 2nd seems more appealing to me. The first is a bit cartoony, while the 2nd has an eerie ethereal look.

Tau fire warrior

His leg plates are done. The blending came out a bit rough in some places :~( Apart from that i\'m quite pleased. Comments appreciated.

Like em both. The blending is very smooth. I would go a bit higher with the highlights but thats just me. Greta job so far.

Finally, after a four month break i\'m back in action! This is my latest WIP, a vampire count.

I\'ve been experimenting with different flesh tones but i\'m never satisfied with the result. Either it\'s too purple, or it\'s too flat with too little depth. I need help to get a deep and rich face with much expression. I want it to be vampiric, which means i want it grey. I tried painting it grey with highlighting and shading but it looked like a stone figure. I know i need to add something to the grey to make it look alive, but still dead.
Does anyone get me? :p I know i\'m quite confusing.

Actually, a really light \"Rotting Flesh\" wash for shading would probably work for that. It won\'t look very green since it\'s such a light shade and it will add that waxy palour.
