Ghost – True Bond – And Now His Watch Is Ended

Can Ghost make use of And Now His Watch Is Ended when it is attached to Jon Snow’s unit and another friendly Night’s Watch unit is destroyed? How would that end up looking?

I can think of a few possibilities (the first being most likely by my view):

1. Ghost treats Watch is Ended as if it’s attached to him. Card gets discarded off of Jon’s unit (as if it was on Ghost). A card gets moved from destroyed unit to Ghost. Ghost then performs one Attack, Maneuver, or March. (Since the card is discarded in the process, Ghost making use of Watch is Ended effectively prevents Jon Snow from using it later)

Other possibilities I see:

1. You treat the cards as if they are attached to Ghost… but since there is no actual card to discard off of Ghost, nothing happens.
2. You treat the card as if it’s attached to Ghost, this “imaginary card” gets discarded. Reap the benefits of Watch is Ended… but the card itself is still “protected” on Jon Snow’s unit. Jon Snow can use it later.
3. Both Ghost and Jon Snow’s unit can reap the benefits of Watch is Ended simultaneously.

Other possibilities I see:

1. You treat the cards as if they are attached to Ghost… but since there is no actual card to discard off of Ghost, nothing happens.
2. You treat the card as if it’s attached to Ghost, this “imaginary card” gets discarded. Reap the benefits of Watch is Ended… but the card itself is still “protected” on Jon Snow’s unit. Jon Snow can use it later.
3. Both Ghost and Jon Snow’s unit can reap the benefits of Watch is Ended simultaneously.

Option 1 is the correct one here. While Ghost treats himself as having all the same cards Jon's unit does, the specific card in question requires itself to be discarded in order for the effect to take place- which is something Ghost cannot do as he does not have a copy on himself to discard.

And Now His Watch Is Ended (Relevant text)
"...While attached, when another friendly unit is destroyed, you may discard this card. If you do, move 1 friendly attached Tactics card from that unit to this unit."

While Ghost says he counts as having the cards Jon does, he cannot meet the "discard this card. If you do..." criteria to complete the effect.
