anyone have a good way to paint the skin of the giant?

a good way, with very good blends. im looking to produce a sort of aged, tough skin thats been through a lot of wear and tear.

I also want to experiment a little with skin tones, use more glazes and not just use dwarf flesh and elf fleshlol

Vallejo Brown Sand makes a good Caucasian skin tone.
You can darken it with targetted washes of GW Gryphonne Sepia.
Lighten it with Vallejo Ivory or a Light Grey to age the skin.
Tones of Green and Purple work well for additional shadow tones such as the bags below the eyes, and the recesses between the inner corner of the eye and the bridge of the nose.

so if you only have dwarf and elf flesh how do you expect to not use them and still only use the stuff you have...lol

That aside do you have Tanned Flesh????
I find t a good starting tone or a mix of dwarf and dark flesh with a dash of warlock purple... Highlights can be done with elf flesh bleahed bone shading with dark flesh red gore purple etc...

Start with dwarf flesh, shade with tanned flesh, shade with dark flesh, re-highlight with dwarf flesh, high light with elf flesh. (do all of that, and in between shades with blending)

NOW! here comes the fun part.

Glaze shadowed areas with a purple, glaze mid tones area with a green, glaze highlighted ares with a light green. reglaze with origional colours (elf flesh in the high areas, dark flesh in the shadows) and then just use purple and green glazes to pick out places that you feel need to be picked out.

After all is said and done, if you want an AGED affect, take elf flesh, and add fortress grey, use that over top of the highlight, BLENDING! and then after that, use a fortress grey glaze, and glaze all of the skin with it. MAKE SURE YOU USE A LIGHT GLAZE! WIPE OFF THE BRUSH ALMOST COMPLETELY!
