Giant conversion

Im thinking of making a giant, just need a bit of help on the sculpting front. The general idea of it is the front is going to be plate armour ( the part that is going to be sculpted). The back going to be covered in shields from Warhammer races on top of chain mail. The thing i need help with is, do I sculpt on to the model or do I build the torso, stomach up from the back of the model and form the armour around that.

Have you got any sketch\'s, photo\'s, point\'s of inspirtation we could possibly have a look at?
I find it hard to try and visualise what you are.

basicly its like the plate armour on the Isengard Troll from the LOTR range im not too good at drawing and im at work at the mo but will try and get some pics of what im on about when i get back from work.

Im assuming you will just be working on the warhammer plastic giant?

If so I would just sculpt the plate armour onto the giant, as opposed to resulpting parts of the giant.

Though if areas are going to be covered by the armour, then you do some pose changes and not have to be too fussy about the tidyness of the joins.
