Gimp convert here. The latest version is great considering the price :)

I still use Photoshop myself, but if someone at work wants to edit images, I send them in Gimp\'s direction now. It\'s a great advert for open source. I might even ditch Windows and go with Linux on one of my machines now...

I\'m getting better with it, and RAW Therapee too
I\'m thinking of going to Linux when I build my new PC, you got a preference on any distro? I quite like Mint
Linux Format\'s a good read too

I\'ve been looking at Fedora and Ubuntu. Mint looks interesting.

I\'m going to invest in a new PC (maybe a Mac...) at some point this year, so will experiment on one of my old machines.

just make sure there\'s nothing left on the hard drive you want to keep, otherwise the install is really easy

Couldn\'t agree more about the install. I copied all the files I wanted to keep and let the installer do the rest.

I switched from Windows to Linux Ubuntu about 18 months ago and haven\'t regretted it yet.

I use Foxit Reader for all my PDFs now, and I\'ve even uninstalled MS Office, and I use Open Office now

I\'d be happy to use OS software for almost everything bar my graphics and web apps. Adobe stuff is second nature now - it\'d be like slicing my hands off not having it!
