Awesome work ..maybe a little more shading in some areas of the flesh to provide a bit more definition in places would lift it even higher...
fantastic piece though and nice clear photo whatt camera do you use...

i keep all my colour very simple so grt ready to have the magic spoiled.
bestial brown highlighted up to almost skull white as you would a jewel(towards the bottom) then a couple of thin coats of sunburst yellow over the whole thang, last highlight again with skull white and yellow mix, and a white dot/line in the apropriate place at the top of the object (again like a jewel):)

Sweet. Gotta give that NMM gold a try. Good thing I just have a couple Wolfen on the table. :)
Like the brown shading in the grey fur, btw. Pretty much everything comes together well on this one. Keep it up!

NMM how it should be.

I\'m no fan of the NMM technique... but on a model like this i could be. Overall a great paintjob... but seriously, if all NMM looked like yours there would be no need for metalic paints. really nice.

thanks guys!

@demonherald. the camera i use is cheepo kodak finepix easyshare cx7525.
and £15 desktop lamp from argos. all very cheap and simple:). i use photoshop to crop and resize the photo then just add the background gradient, all takes about 10 minutes, easy peasy:D

That\'s a fine bit of painting.

The base is the weak point I think - not a fan of the retro green thing going on down there, but the fig is lovely.

yeah i agree with you there, i only put the static grass on about 5 mins before taking the pics. but the old school green came from trying to emulate the rackham style bases, hence the bluey type pillar as well.

I\'ve just gone through the wip pics i took of this mini i got about 5or6 worth showing, base coat , shade, a bit of first stage highlight on the axe, where you guys like to see it?:)
