and I wish it was mine.
My Brother did that, and got an expert marksmen metal. He got over over 30 medals upon graduating Boot Camp, including winning highest Graduate in the country that year; he still has the trophy. He got to shoot a $50,000 missile at a drone plane during commencment ceremonies and qualified for ANY position he wanted.
Before he was able to choose an assignment, however, a General in his unit (Hell on Wheels) had a driver that was mustering out. He told his second to find the guy who scored the highest in mechanical Aptitude on his Asvabs and make him his new driver (the driver was also responsible for routine maintenance). My brother scored the highest... he scored the highest in EVERY category. So the U.S. Army took the one person with the most potential to serve our country and turned him into a Chaufer.
Thats like turning Rambo into Latka.
My brother, super intelligent as he was, spent every day waiting hours outside in the hot Texas sun for his commander to finish whatever he was doing, and eventually he cracked. He received a medical discharge (for psychological reasons) and was sent home. He never fully recovered, and now spends most of his time hiding in his room checking the internet Conspiracy theory websites.
True story, I could take a picture of the trophy if you want, my mom still has it. Thats what this country does to it\'s best and brightest, it certainly doesn\'t pay to stand out.
EDIT: That Metal Storm thing is sick, but all I see are a pistol and ugly box set-up. Where are the rifles? That box is pretty cumbersome, and a pistol won\'t cut it under most combat conditions.
