Gnolls-a-plenty

About two years ago, TAB and I began our undertaking to become The Hedge Wizards, by selling my old 2nd edition Star Wars RPG books on eBay. (Mainly to defray the costs of our newfound taste for small chunks of metal...)

When our LGS began offering all of their WotC Chainmail stock at 50% off, we discussed this as a business move. We negotiated the deal and got a crapload (like 3 large boxes) of assorted blisters, boxed sets, etc. of discontinued WotC pewter.

SO, fast forward a bit to a con where I had planned to run a game. (My first!) I knew I needed enemy figs so I rooted around in the box of Chainmail. I found a slew of Gnolls, and some Abyssal Ravagers. Problem solved.
Except of course that they were \"store stock\" slated for sale. Feeling a bit guilty, I promised the family that I would paint them all and sell them on ebay after the con.

I didn\'t get the chance to paint them before the con (much to my embarrasment!) and it actually took me another year to get around to them.

I think in retrospect that it turned out for the better, as I feel my skills have improved in the intervening time. If you look at the Ranger, whom I did right after the con, compared to the rest, which I did recently, I think you\'ll see what I mean.

Please, check them out, vote, and comment, I really appreciate constructive criticism. (Plus I need to catch up to TAB and IPM...)

Looking cool, DM! And oh yes, there is a notable difference in the painting between the Ranger and the rest!
Selling them on ebay prolly won\'t bring in as much as you\'d want \'em to, the destiny of less-wanted minis painted to solid tabletop...
Just give in to your base Gamer desires and keep \'em, you know you want to

The grassy Gnoll is classic. I howled when I originally saw it.

BTW - have you got many, or any of those Chainmail minis left? I\'m specifically looking for the dwarves that they did which were pretty nice.

Voted on all of them, i really liked the monk imparticular which i think was a combination of both nice sculpt and nice paintjob, the grassy gnoll was brilliant (it had to be done lol)

I agree with what people have said about the ranger, but i don\'t really like the sculpt of that one, and maybe other people don\'t either so that is possibly jading their voting rather than it being the paintjob.

Grumb - Nice conversioon and paintjob there, love the expression.

All in all a great set of models DM, i\'d never actually seen any gnoll minis before and you come out with a dozen!

Just voted on all of them - you\'ve been watching Tracy and I can see a definite improvement. Abysal Fiend whatever red guy is the best of the lot - really like the weapon you did on him.
