hey CMON...

i love these little goblin samurai...

i painted this guy in \'05 as a test for a tabletop quality scheme for these little buggers...
this was the first time that i played around with rust on the weapons...
i like how he turned out, and hope to get the time to paint up a small force of these guys one day...

nice one. how did you do the rust?

the rust is a basecoat of tin bitz, a layer of bolgun metal, then stippled with bestial brown, blazin\' orange over that, and finally a fine stipple of mithril silver...

very basic, but a cool first try...
now i would mix colours a little more, or try some washes too...

personally, i would keep the cutting edges brighter and rust free and maybe have more rust near the nooks and crannies. still a good effect and brilliant for a 1st try
