I have alot to learn when it come to prep on a figure:redface: my attempt to green stuff the seam on th esquigs leg is a mess. It did not look to bad until I blew the picture up to full screen. Anyone got any Ideas how to cover or fix it without striping the model I would be very greatful

i\'d use wet \'n\' dry sandpaper. but you wil have to re undercoat the area and repaint.

Looks much better!

When I GS a joint, I\'ll fill in the gap with GS, using the smallest amount possible to fill the gap. Once that\'s done, I wet my finger and run it over the area, making certain to draw the GS over the side of the seam- the right amount of pressure will force the GS to conform to the mini\'s shape, and it will draw it out very thin. It fills the gap nicely without creating the look of a seam.

some people under coat the mini when they first prep it, then they undercoat it, and this shows up any flaws and they fix it, then re undercoat it!

cheers for advice
my problem is I have always been lazy about prep but I now see how important it is and will try not to do a bum job again:D

If you can get some of the rubber tipped clay shapers, they make smoothing GS easier without having the chance of leaving finger prints in the GS. Plus they\'re actually easier to control.

i agree. for joints like that, i put a sausage of gs in (although i use mroe than i need, it\'s easier to take it away than blend more in) and then smudge over it with a rubber tipped cuticle pusher or clay shaper
