Has anyone heard of a movie called \'300\'? Well it\'s based on a comic by Frank Miller - he of the Batman goodness \'The Dark Knight Returns\' etc.

Anyhoo, this film looks bloody awesome and I recommend that you check out this trailer immediately!!! Yes that\'s an order people lol

Yea there was a thread about this last week i think, looks like a great film.
It also had a section (albiet very small) in the latest Empire magazine.

one question which way round should that date read..
3rd of sept or 9th March....
Bring on the Rhinos....much better for breaking up a battle line than a peanut munching elephant..:beer:

THIS IS MADNESS! I like fighting in the shade too, but pixies are a cunning and brutal foe.
I employ the Fairy airforce mercs though. Their stealth models are rather good...The pixie king suspected nothing until the 1 kilo ton acorn bomb found its mark.

I\'m not convinced at all actually. The animated stuff looks poor even in this little trailer format. The storyline doesn\'t appeal to me either from this short clip and the acting seemed dodgy as well. But it depends on what they are aiming for.. it might work as a comic-style film, but I\'m not even sure about that.

But on the other hand. I\'ll probably see it anyway and it\'s MUCH better to go with low expectations instead of the reverse. :) So hopefully I made you a favour and brought your expectations down so you won\'t be disappointed! :innocent:

My wife and I went to see The Departed this weekend and saw the full screen trailer. And yes Tooshy, it looks freaking awesome. ( that is if you liked Sin City, which BTW was my favorite film last year )
To me, it kind of looked like 300 Marvins take on 30,000 Spartans. Kind of a medieval Operation Overlord with extremely gratuitous violence. Yet another plus.

Oooh that\'s cool to know - I probably wouldn\'t know what to do with myself if I saw the trailer up on the big screen :p All those scantily clad blokes.... phwoar!!! (sorry, not had a phwoar on the forum for a while) lol

As for Sin City - yup, it was a very cool film. Completely blew my mind \'cos the story was so freaky ....
