For three whole days. No, i\'m not feed up with the forums or anything like that... just having the house tented to kill off the termies (and the ghosts... but don\'t tell \'em it was me). 2+ Armour\'s right... buggers need GAS to kill \'em. Anywho, if anyone needs me (Sculpting Project, a Round Robin mini, anyone for Fish-Dog Workshop, ect) could you please direct them to this link? Don\'t wanna stir any confusion. i know how people freak (no pun intended to the posters with the title) when somebody who\'s on here every day is gone for no apparent reason for a while.

i\'m OK and most likely bored out of my mind in a hotel. See you Saturday (i hope)

Itchy: that\'s what laptops and hotels with WiFi are for! ;) When I had to drive from Detroit back to LA back in April, I made sure that my laptop and I stayed in a hotel with a WiFi connection each night I stopped. If that\'s not an option, don\'t fret too much -- it\'ll be tough, but you\'ll survive! :)

LP: I\'m afraid my own next Disneyland trip won\'t be until early August. But it will be a blast, when it happens, as it will be to celebrate my best friend\'s son\'s (whom I practically consider my own surrogate son) fourth birthday. So far I\'ve been with him to LegoLand, SeaWorld, and the Aquarium of the Pacific... now Disney, and eventually Magic Mountain when he\'s tall enough! :)

Itchy: 3 days ain\'t that bad. When I go to visist my parents they don\'t even put the TV on. As for internet access, to quote my mother:-

\"It\'s all pornography why do you want to go on there for?\"

And she\'s been on the internet exactly; NEVER.

Thank goodness for a good book. (& Alcohol)

A pornographic book perhaps? ;)

Itchy if you are going to Disney and have any free time or need a restraunt guide some evening, you better give me a call. Or are you just going into hiding to grow that \'stash?

Airhead, Disney World would be a hell of a drive for him from CA in just a weekend. (I think they\'re talking about DisneyLand.) :D

Yes I was referring to Disneyland not Disney world. But word of advice. Disneyland California Adventure sucks. Unless they are having the 2fer. The best thing there is the Aladdin Show! Two thumbs up. The rest…… well not my cup of tea. And BTW I do have an Annual pas so I can go any time. It sucks that Space Mountain is still being remolded, but hopefully it will reopen soon. (That’s what they said about it last year in February, but they keep on pushing the date back.

My sis seems to be having a good time with her Dell laptop. It was a little on the expensive side, but the specs are better than my desktop at home. :p

I\'ve thought about getting a laptop myself, mostly to keep notes and things with me while I\'m working on a theater project. Or to watch movies and play games while I\'m on the airplane. :D

Yeah, i\'ve heard Dell makes great machines, but has hit or miss customer service. That\'s ok with me though. Mainly i\'m looking for something with a large enough hard drive where i don\'t need to use the FAT file system, good RAM, light-ish weight (small screens are ok), good built in speakers. But once you get into those light weight laptops there\'s way too many for me to narrow it down. Especially with all the options you can throw on. Alienware stuff looks pretty good with the price you pay for what you get... pretty good bang for the buck and i was all set to get one when everywhere i read their stuff was shooty. So i\'m still floating on it.:(

I heard they were WAY overpriced bling-boxes for showoff LAN-partiers...

Well, they have two different laptops (serious... that\'s it) and one\'s way more than i should be, but the other one seemed purdy dang good. But i haven\'t really heard much about them as a company and didn\'t read very much good stuff about them.

So if anybody knows a laptop that:
1) is light... 6 pounds or less
2) 14.1 or smaller screen (having a small screen isn\'t a deal breaker... i\'ve still got my non-coffin dodger eyes)
3) 512 to a gig of RAM
4) 40-60 Gig hard drive
5) Intel Pentium M proccessor (i know... $$$$-y, but i\'m willing to pay it)
6) CD-RW DVD combo drive -or- swappable drives (don\'t know much here... imput would be great)
7) something with decent battery life

Ummm... i\'ve got one of those \"router thingies\" but it\'s not wireless... i can always plug in to do the internet thing... the portability comes in when i need to program a robot, or taking/editing pictures or something like that. It\'d be nice not to run across the house a million times to submit a mini :D

A HUGE thank you to anyone who knows even a little about laptops that can pass on some wisedom to me.
