I've been working on a figure for Euro-Militaire today and as is my habit I've been listening to an audiobook.
It surprised me that I've never read this but it was John Wyndham's "The Chrysalids".
Ok it was published the year before I was born (1955) but the theme, depth, religous bigotry and surprising adult relationships have impressed me.
While I've read a lot of other works by Wyndham this one I'd say is really one that deserves better attention.
If you get the chance its worth the effort.
