Er yeah bloody well seeing nmm in my sleep! Doesn't help that the mini is quite a big one as well I think I got it ok by the time I got to his legs quite pleased with them.

Voted and commented. NMM is great - 8.5 because of the base and some of the blends could be smoother. :claply:

I use black posterboard, the key is to have your model well in front of the backdrop so the backdrop blurrs out.

Cool will do hmm space not so much in my house to get the mini well forward so it blurs out, ( I think in the USA you would actually call the average Brit house a small shack lol)

Great work. I'm new to this whole genre of painting, what does "nmm" stand for? Is it non-metallic metal?

Yep that be the one nmm = None Metal Metal using normal paints to reproduce the effect of metals. Properly done its much better than using metallic paints due to the control of placement of highlites and shadows. Very tricky to do but if you can get it right then wow! Not that my piece is wow but you got to practice.

Have a look at yellow one or alexi z Their stuff among others of course is amazing! Elly as well super.

Are there any how-to's explaining base colors and highlights out there? Interesting technique.

Loads of them on this site on the articles and loads on YouTube also old WD Eavy metal masterclass used to do tutorial on them. Contrast is key if you look on my WIP I'm sure I put a recipe somewhere on there.
