well for me this week is practically it.
This is my only free couple of days and when the wife and sprog return i\'ll only get minute amounts of time and this will probably be after they have both gone to bed. and even then i\'ll be able to feel the evil stares boring into the back of my head!

anyhow got the stuff ready and waiting. got the redbull and pot noodles (hey its like being a student again), angry shouty band cd, miniatures, paint and lights sorted. I\'m not going to be able to post pics for a while, but the first mini i\'m working on is the emperors champ on my gallery (check it out and vote.....harmless pluglol) i\'ll be doing a MNMM or is is PNMM or MMMM ??? anyway i will be using gold paint........there! hopefully i will figure out how to post on the forums and when photobucket allows me to register then i\'ll give it a shot.

slap me witha kipper skipper, i\'m gonna need it!

2 hrs in and i\'m aching! been up for a total of 12 hrs so far today and the first redbull barely touched the sides.

If you don\'t have time to do something specially, I\'d recommend at least entering some of the stuff you have now. Although that Nurgle terminator is a bit old, I still think the conversion and painting on it is amazing (and I remember it was the first thing you posted WIPs about on joining the forums).

For next year, I was inspired by Vincent\'s 400 hour mini he won with in Canada, and figure what I lack in skills I can make up in diehard dedication and lots of free time :D
Remember, Vincent included research and practice time in those 400 hours, so don\'t try and spend 400 hours on a single entry. Personally I will have many entries for both Canada and Chicago Games Day and due to a complete lack of anything resembling a life, I shall be able to put in the extreme amount of effort which would be required for me to even make the first cut (which will be my goal with all my entries, asides from possibly a select few).

You must have me confused with someone else. :D

For those who care (yes I realiize there are only a select few of you) I will be posting WIP conversion shots of most of my Golden Demon pieces including, what is slowly becoming one of my favourite little ideas, my Snotling Warboss on Palanquin.

Posting GD

I have recently got to work on my entry this year. I am not being ambitious, just one entry, a 40K squad. But I have thought about posting WIP\'s on here to get a reaction, however, do you think that is ok? I don\'t think anyone would steal the ideas but would everyone be cool with helping someone else to improve their entry in a contest that thye too are involved with? What do you guys think?

Idea\'s?

Cool, thanks for that. While we\'re on the subject is anyone else entering GD 40K squad and if so wat r u doing, if you don\'t mind saying of course.

I am doing an Inquisitorial squad - I know, so original - but right now I only have 3 members down of 5. I have a henchman, weilding a big hammer, an assasin - ur gonna have to wait a bit but she is going to be so cool, and finally I have a gunslinger. But has anyone got any ideas for the inquisitor of the 5th agent?

jake

thanks

Wow, good luck man. Painting that intense after not painting for a while....crazy as it sounds, but it\'s just like training for everything else. If you\'re out of practice painting and sitting on your arse 12+ hours a day it hurts like \'natch!
