Prehaps it would have, but if he made the effort to post, he could quite easily have made the effort to read other peoples posts first.

Ok, sorry for snapping, its been a very long and stressful few weeks. Ok if we start afresh?

Welcome to the forum, expanding foam (like matt has posted) comes in cans and starts off really small when you spray it, then gets really huge, when it comes into contact with air at least tripling in size.

In the UK i have only seen it in cans like this:

FIXINGS_-_FISCHER_EXPANDING_FOAM_Fischer_Gun_Foam_Gun_All_Metal.jpg

The outside goes really hard, but the inside is a little softer. It can be cut and sanded, but its pretty diffcult.

Once you are done using it you need to stop pumping/spraying and jam something in the nozzle like a nail if you want to keep the remainder of the can.

Like i said before, sorry for snapping. :)

Alex

edit: expands pretty quickly, eg 30seconds

As well as the spray stuff, you can get polyurethane foam as a two part liquid. You mix the two parts together an it starts to expand after a few seconds. Its quite a bit more specialised, so you can\'t get it at as many places (google j foam), but its probably easier to work with in large amounts than the spray cans

Cheers
