yeah the sword rocks, sweet :)

interesting how some of the categorys really stand out from the other. still think the 40k single templar guy (gold i suppose?) is my absolute fav here.

The 40k single is the nicest i would say, TBH i am not sold on the Tau that won the slayer sword, i just dont like the look, maybe its the picture, but it looks almost unfinished, the base especially, and the "dusty" weathered look seems to have been drybrushed on??

Odd as if its won the slayer sword then it must have been good. i assume its just the pic, but i will wait and see if proper pics come up on deamon winner.

i Know HUGO from another forum and his storm eagle conversion is lovely.

So no swords allowed in Japan? How does that work?

Also, I doubt that is a revelation to the event organisers so why arrange for such a bad prize? why not something the winner could actually own?

What will the winner of the Bolivia competition get, a yacht?

It's the laws there, even replica swords have to get certified and everything is very strict, and GW probably had huge issues with shipping a 4ft sword into Japan lol.

He does have a sword and he will prob get it if he is in Germany where he is from.

It's an odd situ so GW may make something diff like a shield or something for next time.

Yeesh - tell me about it. Due to an administrative screw up it turned out that actually GW are not allowed to import swords into Japan. That includes ones pretending to be trophies. So, while the slayer sword for GDJ does exist, it cannot be brought into Japan. The winner was offered the option of leaving it at GW hq in Nottingham, or having it shipped somewhere else. I thiiiink he's German, so it may have ended up sent to address there. I dunno - I wasn't at the event.

*edit* Gah! Ninja'd...
