I was wondering if any of the other Demon winners out there have received their statues from GW yet. I haven\'t heard a peep, and since it\'s been nearly a month, I thought ask.???

Not this year. All of the winners were informed they would be mailed their statues shortly after Games Day. The resin used to make them had not set properly, so all of the demons were liquid in the middle. ForgeWorld was supposed to be casting a new batch pronto...

Well, things do go wrong sometimes. They\'re doing what they can to fix it.

Better than what they did at UK GD a few years back when they forgot to order more than one open trophy. They just cancelled second and third place. :flame:

Yikes! That is pretty horrible.

@skeeve - thanks for the heads up. I\'m glad we weren\'t forgotten about. I was afraid I\'d have to go to Chicago and hijack their statues!

1994 they had a disagreement with the armouries and had no slayer sword or daggers which were supposed to be given out, instead trophies were a little deom sprayed either gold silver or bronze on a little block of marble with the plaques glued on wrong.... I dont display them anymore..lol..

The Demon trophies are cast in a polyester resin, thats why they chip and break so easy..if Polyester isnt mixed right it gets ugly and as they said wont sure proper.

@painterboyroy in 1995 when I won the biggie in Baltimore..I got a large plaque because someone at GW decided No one wanted swords anymore fore a painting contest as an award..

Its all about the Slayer Sword..and if they EVER decide to drop that..Im done with the contest as a whole..

Wow, what a bummer about the trophies. I hope they have them ready for Chicago and LA.
I have been seeing some Golden Demon pins online for making first cut. Are they from Baltimore? I also heard that if you get a gold trophy they give you the limited edition orc warboss from Age of Reckoning.

I actually suspect that they delayed sending trophies because they were casting them for both Chicago and Baltimore - but this is just a speculation.

As for pins, as far as I know finalist pins always existed in UK. Yes they were giving them out, one for each finalist entry

Yes, golden demon winners also received the Age of reckoning limited mini. I will post WIP of mine in a day or two.

The First cut pins were handed out as a first at Golden Demon Toronto. No Orc mini for golds though, but I applaud the first cut pin as a motivators for the aspiring who aren\'t quite there yet be nearly in the trophy range. I think they make for good encouragement.

Ah, so we are only two years behinds. It is a great idea though and these pins look pretty good too.

My only complaint is that Dirty Steve was in such a hurry to give me my Biblo mini , he didn\'t give me my finalist pin for the LOTR category!!!;)
