Hi Guys before this thread deteriorates into a GW always change the goalposts type thing I was just wondering if anyone can answr a GD rules query for me.

Duel is two combatants or models ....I am planning an entry and was thinking of using some Giant Rats in the scene as well as the two main combatants but was wondering if Giant Rats being a gaming model would count as over two models on the base??????

I have emailed GW regards this but no replies as of yet so if anyone could shed some light it would be much appreciated.

cheers
Rob

Judgement call but I\'d say it depends on the rats\' context. If they are actively a part of the combat then I\'d say not allowed as it\'s supposed to be one-on-one.

However, if the rats are more part of the scenery then I\'d say no problem. There are loads of examples of extra small figures as scenery on minis winning demons.

cheers for that They would be more incidental but would be hard not to do them reacting in some way to blood being shed in their general vicinity......mmmmmmm decisions decisions ...maybe sometimes just better to be safe...

Yes I would say

Rats as scenery = no problem

Rats as part of the fight = big problem and makes it a battlescene.

Remember a battlescene doesn\'t need to be a big honking 12x12x12 inch diorama just because they say you can have up to that size. A good battle scene can be in 1/10th that space.

@Dan and DFD Thats what I\'m thinking now ..small rats ............stay well away from them joining the battle....incidental little rodent onlookers..
