Hello all, I have just published a new pic of one o my figs.

This pic has been taken by someone with a way better digicam than mine (also a very larger knowledge on how-to-take-decent-piccies)

I\'m curious as to what you think of my WarBoss : http://www.coolminiornot.com/102920

All comments welcome as I\'d like to make my next fig a better one.

Cheers,

Quase

There\'s alot of good, not so good & Ugly in this miniature.

Good: Freehand

Not so good: Metalics, you need to give it a bit more deffenition, give it a glaze of brown/black ink to stop it looking flat \'silver\'. But with plenty of water so it doesn\'t go Black!

Ugly: Squig, but in a good way! :D (maybe give him a glaze of blue/green, to give him a bit more definition as well)

Good start though !

Gave him a 7, but I can see you can paint, so who knows for the future.

If this helps:

Nice one!
You\'ll have to give me your recipe for Squig-skin someday. I really like it.
Also, a very cool idea continuing the white line on his helmet with the orks\' facial paint. i might just copycat that on one of my future figs.

As for the blandness of the metals... I tend to give the metal parts of my Orks\' vehicles a wash of a mix of Dark Green Ink, Brown Ink and just a tad of Chaos Black, all of this watered down considerably. It never crossed my mind to apply this to my Orks\' armour. I might just give that a try don\'t you think?

As for the Squig, I might indeed apply a glaze of Blue Ink to the recesses, but i\'m not sure if applying it to the whole Squig is such a good idea.
Only taking the recesses into account should definately bring out some more definition.

Alot of detail. The orc flesh is good as well as the colored armour. Some more attention to the little details (They are good just need to be tightened Like control panel etc). I have to say I dont like the squig. Sorry but I dont think you painted it as well as the rest of the mini. Maybe some more shading will help. Nice paint job overall.

Can\'t really tell because the pics are too small!!!

You\'ve got to give people a chance to see the paintwork - I like to be able to see at least a two-up, maybe even a three-up of each submission.

It\'s easier to give a good crit and relevant score then.
