So here is our next Golem event!

Over the last year we have run a number of events both large and small and we have learned a lot!
This time we have-
Improved venue; for the first time people can come into a professional studio environment
Improved food; what more can I say but 'Hot Hash n dumplins'
Improved location; 5 minutes away from a major city (Manchester uk) train station Makes us rather more accessible (plus free secure parking)
Improved event focus; Learn the specifics and have more time to practice and recieve feedback
Improved price; because of the above improvements we could make this happen!

I'm actually a man!
Aye, got a solid 3G connection in Hamleys toy shop of all places, so whacked in my card. The first of its painfull few days, culminating in the FW stand at G day.... Oh god it's expensive.

Yup, I could have easily spent a month's wages at the FW stand ;)

Sadly I've checked the trains and getting to Manchester from Swindon/Chippenham is just insanely costly so no NMM lesson for me :(

That's odd as I can get from abz to Manchester for £30 each way if I get singles.

Sadly an "arrive by 9am" or "arrive by 10am" both come out as £75 :s And I'd either need to leave at 0:45am or 6:11am - lol! Just looked and reason being that it's two different train operators - either Swindon to Newport to Manchester or Swindon to Didcot to Oxford to Birmingham to Manchester. Perhaps one time I'll save up some cash and me and the other half will make a weekend of it :)

Hmmmn, something iffy there, Fran sorted out our train tickets to Folkstone at £22.00 return each.

Just ignore the above I got the whole thing wrong. ONE of the tickets was marked at £22.00 but the whole Return set was £65.00 total. Muppet!

In fairness there is no consistency in train costs, especially when it's across operators so it wouldn't have surprised me if you'd got the whole set for £22. Before my other half moved in, I would travel every couple of weeks to South Wales and could do a return for under £25. The same distance elsewhere could easily triple the cost :s
