I have been Teaching Miniature painting for over 15 years now and as my skill has improved so have my methods. This course is a refinement of these teaching experiences.

I have found that over the last 4 years of teaching I have ALWAYS taught the same things to ALL painters of ALL levels. These things are THE FUNDAMENTALS OF PAINTING.

Whether you are painting to a basic level or to high display standard these fundamentals NEVER CHANGE. They are ESSENTIAL!

So on this course I plan to build your fundamentals to improve your overall painting ability

Some, but by no means all of the ideas taught will be;

The Different core brush strokes

The Holy Grail of the ideal paint consistency

The pallet and its full use

How to avoid lumpy streaky paint

Create a solid foundation for attending our other events

How to use the principles as a tool to keep improving your painting FOREVER!

This event will be intensive and the list above is just a small taste of the course ahead.

I received this e-mail just now about my Miniature Painting Fundamentals Course.

"Hi Tommie

I would like to say thank you once again for very intuitive and eye opening experience on Saturday.
I liked your honesty, passion and no nonsense friendly approach as a person and in your teaching methods. Consistency of paint, how and where to use it, types of brush control, choice of brush size and the whotphotm were all a mega penny drop and stepping stones to simplicity!!. All things I had previously struggled with!!!!
Looking at box art and how to break it down is amazing! How to explain 30 minutes of browsing boxes in Gw muttering to myself without buying all the boxes I pickup that's an art hehehe. You may have seen I have issues with sitting long periods due to the knackered back, but I will now achieve more in my active periods which is a real boost. I made plenty of notes (there was lots to take in)as it reinforces my learning and helps me for reference (memory is not what is was and I'm not getting any younger)
All is for nothing without practicing and using this new knowledge.

Big thank you once again!!

Happy painting and kind regards,

Mike Hanlon"

Thanks mike!!!!!!!!!

I got another! :)

"Hey Tommie,

Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent painting fundamentals course last Saturday. It was a really good day, very informative and nice to see you and your teams excellent work in the flesh. Extra special thanks to your mum who done a stirling job on the hot drinks and lunch!

Having never really painted any miniatures properly for many years your course has inspired me to tackle an Empire Army, I've always wanted to try one but never really did for fear of screwing up otherwise perfectly made miniatures with an awful paint job.

I did mention on the day that I would be interested in some private tuition and I would definitely still be interested in doing some of this in the future, so if you could provide me with some details on your fees and lead times etc. that would be great.

I wish you and Golem Studios all the best.

Regards,

Tom"

Thanks a lot TOM!!!!
