Saturday afternoon, playing ice hockey with a team from work in a tournament against teams from six other companies.

It\'s been three or four years since I\'ve stood on ice in skates and 30-odd years (or is that 30 ODD years?) since I\'ve played hockey.

My personal tournament statistics:

-seven games at 12 minutes per game
-fell four times
-got in two altercations
-smached into the ref once and bowled him over
-got one hockey stick in the face
-two HUGE blisters on the insteps of my feet
-dislocated one finger (bent outwards and backwards -- snapped it back into place, taped it and kept playing:D)
-team placed fourth

All in all, a great day with my collegues. Just wanted to share this, many thanks for listening.:):bouncy::)

Anybody else out there having a good day?

ill find out in 45 minutes. im in the lab today trying to get some extra work in. if the experiment works, it\'ll be worth it, if not, id rather have spent that time painting.

I just finished roleplaying. My players are having to roll new characters as the old group is in shambles and is being retired. Not sure if thats good or bad. :D It might be nice to have some fresh characters as the old ones had grown a little too powerful and had gotten a little stale.

Oh yeah and the wife should be home in a hour and a-half. :p

Funny, I blogged about this today on MySpace.com

Know exactly how you feel, Evil.

One day, a couple of years ago, I was driving my usual route to work, passed the horse farm and coming up to a blind curve. Red Hot Chili Peppers playing on the radio, old car running well, sun shining, things good with the wife, on time (no, EARLY) for work, kids happy and healthy....if some car coming in the opposite direction cut the blind curve over into my lane (as often happens, I\'m generally very careful at this spot), I\'d be hamburger on the inside of the windshield. Still, at that moment, at that particular point in space and time.....everything fit. Everything was just right. If the gods will me inot hamburger, I\'d be happy hamburger right then and there.

Motered on into the curve. No car came in the opposite direction in my lane. Drove on. The sun shone.

Sometimes everything is just right. I\'m with you, Dave.

I had a pretty bad day, but 7 hours of physics homework wil do that to you.
Other than that, it was pretty good, yeah.
I once had a really awesome day though -everything just went so well, it was awesome.

Today I got home from a residential in Barnsley :) I was looking forward to going home, so that was good. I nearly suffocated on the coach journey back and had a headache, other than that it was OK. As I type I am very tired. Yesterday was a 12 hour day of quad biking, falling over in my T shirt in the snow in liquid mud, spraining both my wrists, crap food... ah, don\'t we all love Yorkshire? :innocent:

happy painting
