Good macro camera for mini pics hopfully digital

:idea: anyone that can give me a idea on what a good macro camera or digital camea would be for mini\'s I would like to here them

You\'ll probably hear two names alot - Nikon Coolpix and Canon (Powershot I think). They are probably as good as each other when you look at them both.

I\'m no camera expert, but I\'d thought I\'d get in before everyone else

Also, before Finn says it, there is a really handy search function on these message boards, so I bet you will see many postings on this subject.

Fizl has it right. Go for a Nikon if you have the choice. 3-4 million pixels at least. Check for an optical zoom and make sure the macro will focus close-up (less than 20cm). Nikon should do all this spiffingly well

Yep. I own a Canon DSLR...... It\'s fantastic. EOS 300D. 10D is even better, but a touch pricey. Nikon D70 is also decent

You will definitely need a macro lens/camera if you\'re gonna paint the latest contest mini.....sheeesh!
