Gothic Church finished terrain

I finally finished this monster!!

The entire church is made from blue foam, with the brick pattern carved into it. The roof is a for sale sign cut into strips to look like shingles, and placed individually, which took hours upon hours.

The large rose window and other large gothic window were purchased from shapeways as frames, and I cut acrylic to their sizes and put them behind the frames, and colored them in. The large window I used a glaze pen to make 3-D lead lines for a leaded glass window effect. The two smaller circular windows were made from jewelry I found at the local salvation army. The other windows are grandt line frames with screen mesh cut to fit behind them, resin poured over the mesh, and colored with markers.

The trees are a wire armature that my girlfriend and I made, then coated in sculpey and textured with a wire brush, and finished with woodland scenics clump foliage. The spanish moss is poly fiber with flock on the ends.

The statue is a figure from a small nativity scene I bought at salvation army, and the base for it was made entirely from foam.

The weeds are paintbrush bristles cut and painted to look like weeds. The slimbers are a simple glue line running up the wall with flock on it. The base was finished with heacy flocking and sand for the paths.

I hope you all like it! It took far too long to complete! Sorry for the crap photos, better ones coming when my girlfriend brings her camera!

Those oversized pictures are hard to appreciate you should crop before posting in the forums, theyre a bit blurry also. Otherwise, pretty nice, looks real good job.

It is also a vital part of our hobby in the 21st century... anyway a simple crop would already help a lot, if we could see the whole thing within 800px wide, many freeware allow for that and simple edition.

Here ya go mate. Great work love the moss and extra detail on the church, really makes it. The windows are fantastic are they printed clear plastic film?. The statue pulls it together too. Awesome work.

Thanks for fixing them!! Definitely much better! And the window frames were just printed in opaque plastic with clear acrylic cut to their shape and put behind them and colored with marker. I am still working on getting some good armies ready for this terrain. The graveyard is coming next, it will connect to the sidde where the statue is.
