Finished this guy yesterday. I tried to change my style on this miniature. Why? Because i learned that minis painted all in a dark style aren\'t really liked by the majority of the folks out there :( . So i decided to paint brighter.
Now to the Mini. I painted after zenthial lighting and tried to paint the mettalics after the NMM technique (crazy, I know.... ;)). I also used warm color palette on this Mini. Well, I still have to paint the Grail Reliquae :(.... Well, what do you think ^^?
Cheers!

Very nice. I have the Reliquae box set around here...maybe one day...

I\'d suggest adding something to the scrap of cloth hanging on the shield - fleur de lis or some other such Grail related sigil. Maybe a stronger hilite on the sword hilt as well.

I still don\'t understand why the Bret models all look so squibbly in the realm of dentistry though...

Well if you look he is wairing at least chain mail on his upper half, yet no armour at all on his bottom. So you would hold the larger part of the shield at the bottom to offer more protection to the unprotected areas.

First off, great mini. I love the style.

I\'m not going to try and pick it apart, just the opposite. Cloth aside, he has the shield upside down. Those shields were held by a bar across the top, so you had an arm curl position or extended. It was the more comfortable way to carry them, and then you flipped it for combat use. The banding is in the right corner for what I\'ve described. And most infantry chainmail ended at the hip, or just below.

The shield is held upside down as a show of there beliefs. They are not worthy to show thier lords Coat of arms correctly as he is deceased. Its a religious thing that GW used in the Grail relique. Paint is real nice. did the vote thing.
